I’m not really in the market for a new car but at some point we will need an additional one as we only have a single car. It’s a relatively base model gladiator sport with auto trans.

$47,280 is the msrp and the selling price is $31,700 putting me at a ~33% discount. They are adding the costs of bedliner and tints but I wanted those anyways so keeping it separate.

let me know your thoughts. Still trying to haggle those m items out so will report back if additional savings are to be had.

bed liner is twice the price it should be, as is the tint, and the wheel locks are probably the same ones Jeep sells for $70. I'd say that doc fee is ridiculous but you're in Miami so from my limited knowledge of the area, that's pretty much par for the course.

To evaluate this deal against others you'd need to add roughly $1200 back into the sales price (400 for liner, 200 for tint, 130 for locks, 500 for doc).

So for a more apples to apples, you're paying 32,930 for the truck (moving all the markup out of the ancillaries and putting it back into the sales price) which is about a 30% discount on the sales price.

Yes, 30% is a very solid deal. It's roughly 11% under invoice PLUS 15% off MSRP. assuming you want a tint for $200, wheel locks for $70, and spray in for $500.

Many people here (myself included) would have killed for 11% off invoice before rebates.

EDIT: HOLD THE PRESSES, this is a used truck, not a new one. So everything i said above is useless drivel. What year, what trim, what miles? LOTS of missing information here. Probably not a good deal.

Bedliner - way over priced ($450-550 locally)
Tint - over priced ( got mine done at another local shot with a 5 star google rating for $195 cash)
Wheels locks - again way over priced (like $60 online if you shop around)

Electronic filing fee - that's a bullshit fee, especially if hammering you with a $995 Doc fee

I just bought a new Volvo XC90 last month........none of that shit with me. Tax/title/tag and doc fee.... nothing else

This doesn't seem like a deal. If this is used, this isn't a deal. Also, Rhino liner bed liner in my area is $600 plus tax. Window tint is about $300, you can get wheel locks at summit racing shipped to your house for $30. I'll have to look, but it appears that they will stick it to you on the fees as well. What's in this $995 "Doc fee" if the Sales Tax, Registration, Electronic Filing Fee, are all separate? Run away from this "deal".

go for it, get the Jeep and welcome to the community! We'll always second guess how much we spent when in reality it's the massive amount of aftermarket parts that cost the most.

Every dealer in the US has a doc fee. You paid one too.

This is on a NEW truck.
Then it's a great deal. To people saying you're overpaying for add ons, yes thats true. But if you take the inflated price of those add-ons and just pretend they are part of the sales price like I calculated in my last comment, it still works out to 30% off msrp which is great. I haven't seen any new vehicle discounted that much since the Nissan Armada during the 2008/2009 gas crisis (40% off and lifetime powertrain warranty)

thanks. Agreed. Yes I’m over paying for a few hundred dollars worth of addons but they’re also discounting the truck 30%+!
