I wonder how much it would cost to import one of those WW2 repro Jeeps?

Apparently $14k:
Still a lot to be done to turn it into a running vehicle. I wonder how much a complete one would cost, though I doubt you'd be allowed to start the engine here in the states.

I checked out that Jeep in a crate and thought it was cool, but maybe not for me. If they sold these Willy’s wagon bodies in a crate like that I might try to figure out bolting one onto the Gladiator frame and running gear though. ?

I’d take $12,000 for mine, with a few extra/spare parts. 4 banger. 45 mph tops.

That's a bucket list item for me, unfortunately there's no space in the garage.

Jeep in a crate. This guy found a way, and the licensing, to bring it back. Obviously not an original. But they have done a real good job making it almost exact with some beneficial modifications. I kinda want to order one just to have it sitting somewhere as a future project.

and the trailer to match

There’s a couple of companies that still make WWII and early Jeep parts/kits. One in India, and one in The Philippines. Both were making them at the end of the war, and still continue to under License. The same with a couple of Colt 1911 and .38 revolver clones. I’ve seen some of the repro parts, and most are of good quality. You can get everything to build a Jeep MB or early CJ to build one from the ground up. Mine is an original 1946 CJ2A, that was restored from the ground up by a man in Louisiana 20 years ago. It has a CJ5 roll bar, and I converted it to 12 volt. I hardly ever drive it, other than through my field, so, thinking of letting it go. Problem is, I wanted one for sooo long, I don’t want to get rid of it.
