In the Ram, it's pretty close according to EPA ratings.
I bet those numbers would be a little higher considering the Gladiator doesn’t weigh as much as the Ram either. Although aerodynamics probably aren’t helping us out

Yup, exactly as you said. Gladiator is slightly better around town where the aerodynamics don't matter as much and slightly worse on the highway.

Of course driving style comes into play, but this is a decent benchmark to start with.

A hemi gladiator would definitely make me trade my 3.6 in. The 4xe will be popular too. I know there are at least a dozen members here that are interested in a 4xe gladiator.

Curious to see what the specifications will be. If they make a buss bar off of the lithium battery pack or in some way make it 'accessible' for people to essentially tap into (kinda like how you just attach lights to your starting battery, not actually messing with the system), it has huge potential for overlanders. With such a large battery pack, even if only 50% of it could be used when camping, that would be huge - so long as the payload doesnt' totally tank. The Gladiator is already hampered by an additional 500 pounds curb weight for the bed and extended frame. Hopefully that full floating rear axle will increase payload a few hundred pounds at least - although the GVW is already pretty close to that class of vehicle so who knows if it can legally go up anyway. They could (and should) use high strength aluminum for the bed instead of steel, and for the hood and side panels as well, that would definitely help. Man depending on these specifications, I would actually consider trading for one - it allllllll relies on those specs being just right.
would be interesting. Typically tho the 12v and the 400v systems are separate and they provide a smaller inverter to provide 110v AC with no real way to access the big battery for 12v use. This all assumes that the JT battery will be bigger than the JL 4xe which is tiny 17kwh.

I'll admit I was in the camp that didn't ever believe we'd see a 4xe Gladiator.

I just don't understand who the demographic is for a 4xe midsize truck other than people who just want a truck "because".

I am happy for the folks that have been looking forward to this, though!

Yeah I doubt Jeep will make it accessible. But, if they listened to their customer base at all, it would be an awesome feature....just saying. They would have to find a way to convert their main system down to 12v for general accessories, and then 110 for an inverter. But I highly doubt it will happen. It's really the only way I could ever justify getting one let alone even being interested in it.

So that means I’m just mocking the heck out of them, because I’m rolling coal WITH blue tow hooks ?

Seriously though, I have had people ask me if my Gladiator was electric ?‍♂
I think the blue accents on white is very cool

White is easy, you can adapt almost any color to it and look good. Hydro blue was my first choice, but at the time of purchase there weren’t any available with all the options I wanted, so this worked best for me. Lots of blue everywhere.

A hemi is a great idea, just not a 392. I would have jumped on a 5.7 with 375/375 and it probably still gets the same mpg as the v6
I have been contemplating a 5.7 transplant you would have plenty of pulling power with 87 octane. Better mileage than 392 and they sell a bigger gas tank that goes where the spare tire sits. I’mma start a go fund me.

Electrification across the product lines is a result of EPA mandates. It has little, if any, correlation to demographics, market research, and customer demand.
