Believe it or not, my JT factory sub woofer sounds way better than the factory sub woofer in my wife's JLU...
Whaaaa!!! My wife had a 4xe and hers sounded better than my JT!!! I hope this post doesn’t invalidate my speaker suggestion 🤣

I swapped both our Jeeps dash speakers to the Mopar upgrade speakers, they both sound great.

I bought JL audio sub boxes for both jeeps as well. Hers gets one 10" my box has two 10" 😁

Jeeze … had 2 JL 10’s in an old Supra back in the day … that was enough for even a 18 year old punk and everyone in the block :-/ …

These are factory speakers, just from a different car ...
I get that, but the "different car" they use them in don't low-key market something close to an IP rating on the dash and components. The old "you can hose out the entire interior!" portion of the "Jeep thing" is still a thing.

They will be of the same materials as the factory Jeep speakers. So if you feel the factory ones can/will get wet, the "upgrade" speakers will do the same. Personally, I wouldn't get either wet outside of some rain.

Well, I thought I was being slick by ordering a couple used ones off eBay, $70 total. Installed them, and one was already blown and popping.... Problem is, I ordered from 2 different sellers and don't know which was the bad one.

oh well.... the one does sound better though.

I would never buy used speakers. Even if they do play when you get them, they could be in they way out...

I think that’s what I paid new … worth trying again … they’ve used these speakers for years, you might have bought a speaker that’s 10 years old …

I recently updated my front upper dash speakers to Mopar part; 68043045AD. These speakers were used on the Harman Kardon systems they put in Rams and Grand Cherokees. My Wife had a Grand Cherokee Summit which came standard with the Harman Kardon system and IT WAS AMAZING!
OP, does the Harmon Kardon system these speakers came out of also have a 4" speaker that would fit in the soundbar?

I am thinking of buying another set of these 3.5 speakers for the soundbar and hoping to change 4" out with HK speakers also ..

Unfortunately no, they use 6x9, 6.5, 1” tweeters and these 3.5 coaxial. No idea why they gave use 4” mids on these trucks , especially because the JK had 6.5” speakers …

I ordered another set of these for the soundbar of my wife's JLU. I put them in the dash already, made a huge difference. I am putting a JL Audio sub in as well.
I was going to put a 6.5 and tweeter in the soundbar also, but I actually don't think it needs it .

Now lets say the factory speakers were 2 ohm with an efficiency rating of 87 and we replaced the with aftermarket 4 ohm speakers with an efficiency rating of 93, that would help a lot.
For those that do not know what the efficiency rating is. It is how loud the speaker is at 1 meter when powering the speaker with 1 watt. So if you have two speakers with a 6db efficiency difference, that is a huge difference in sound loudness.
I'm trying to decide between the hk mopar speakers and the infinity 3.5s for this very reason. Unknown specs, maybe 2 ohm, probably low efficiency as they are oem vs 93dB efficiency, 3 ohm to further help get the power output closer to stock, "appears" to be much higher quality, on sale at crutchfield for the same price as the mopar hks, and still plug and play as they include adapters. Hoping someone on here has tried or at least heard both in person for an apples to apples comparison?
