2020 model and cruise control works great even while pulling pictured rig On level ground up to mild hills. Stays with +/- 2 mph unless steep hills encountered. I click it off in that situation.

In case anyone was wondering, that’s a 4000 pound load evenly split between the MB and the trailer.

I haven't had any issues with the cruise control shifting gears. Of course I do have the 6 MT.

I own a medium size printing company.
22 JTRD and no issues what-so-ever. I don't have ACC and I'm on 38's. I did regear to 4.56 but I didn't have issues before that either.

This has more to do with the lack of low end torque than anything else. Even the diesel isn’t huge amounts for a heavy vehicle. My Panamera Turbo would cruise at 80mph like riding in a commercial airplane. It also had 500 tq ridiculously low in the power band.

442 ft lbs @ 1,400 RPM isn't huge? I think it's pretty impressive.

^^^no it’s not impressive for a 5500 truck. The diesel is pretty adequate though yes! I wish the 3.6 was 350/350 at a much lower rpm.

And here I am living 1,000 feet above town with a descent down there on a 45 mph twisty steep road thinking “ This is the best cruise control I’ve ever had in a vehicle.” Silly me.

Really NOT impressed with the cruise control. Especially in somewhat hilly environments, the speed varies +/- as much as 5mph from set point and the tranny does a lot of hunting.
Is this normal, or does my CC need dealer adjustment?
Original tire size or larger after market replacements?

You want worthless? Try living in the hills of PA with a manual. Cruise control only works on the turnpike, anywhere else is pointless.

2023 Gladiator Rubicon, 6cyl gas, just under 11k on it. Mine is inconsistent too (4-5 mph) and the 8 speed auto trans NEVER knows what gear to get in, which KILLS the gas mileage (I've yet to see better than 16mpg...) let alone the 17-22 mpg lie that was on the window sticker...

I love the adaptable cruise control on my JT - much better than on my Fords. I haven't had any issues like these. Seems like to me it needs to be looked at. Mine only loses speed from set point if I'm going up a big hill, but thats due to the puny 3.6. Otherwise, its gold. (2020 Gladiator)

Mine did the same after I went to 37 inch tires, but once I regeared, it has no problem holding speed in the mountains of Arizona.

Naw! Just put it in 2nd gear and drive just below the redline. You only lose 1mpg.
