Where do you set that? Haven’t seen that option/mode on my 2021 JTRD.
I tried that. Does not work. I used alfaobd to toggle it.

There’s actually 3 types of ACC, but only two are used on JT’s:
- ACC with Stop= this type will bring the vehicle to a full stop, and can only hold the brakes for about 5 seconds before it cancels and you have to put your foot on the brake (it will start moving again on its own if the lead vehicle starts moving before those 5 seconds are up).
- ACC= this type is for manual transmission JT’s and JL’s, and for obvious reasons will not bring the vehicle to a full stop without driver intervention.
- ACC with Stop and Go= this type will bring the vehicle to a full stop, hold indefinitely, and start going when the lead vehicle starts moving. The reason the JT isn’t capable of this is because it doesn’t have an electronic parking brake. That’s what makes it capable to hold the vehicle indefinitely without having to press the brake pedal, because after the 5 second brake hold is up, the electronic parking brake engages.
That’s why you’ll get errors on a JT if you try to configure for ACC with Stop and Go, because the BCM is expecting and ABS module that has EPB capabilities.
Thank you for the clear explanation.

And thank you for helping out with the Jeep community with challenging mods.

That would be forward collision warning, and those settings are adjusted in the radio under safety/driving assistance.

If you have ACC, then you also have FCW. It provides the Emergency Stop feature for when something suddenly gets in front of you. There are settings for it in the Head Unit. The Medium setting is recommended. There is also a Warning Only option that turns it off.

The speed control, based on traffic in front of you, is a feature of ACC and only available when it's active and in use.

are you saying its a setting in the evic or the radio that will stop it without being in cruise?

Not too far off from factory cost. As long as you pay somebody 50-100 dollars to calibrate the system. Or come to KY and I’ll calibrate it for free. Hell, I’ll help you install it all for a burger and beer.

new foward facing camera assembly via ebay 4672935ab $413.99

security bypass via amazon B08ZL4LRVK $15
obdlink mx+ via amazon B07JFRFJG6 139.95
alfaobd subscription via their website $57

in order to calibrate the dasm, i ended up buying a mongoose adapter at like $500 dollars, a witech subscription $40, and a witech tsp subscription for $35. I should have probably just had the dealership do the calibration and saved some money. I honestly thought the mongoose and witech would replace the secruity bypass, obdlink mx+, and alfaobd.

I have not purchased a new windshield, i don't find it to be that big of an eye sore. Once/if my current windshield breaks i'll switch over to a heated windshield.

Don't forget the recalibration expense every time the inevitable Jeep windshield break happens. But at least that $500 adaptor will pay for itself over time.

Ive had 2 windshields replaced and never touched the adaptive unit. Not sure if its supposed to work that way but lifting it had no impact either.

Wish id known there was a setting for emergency braking 3 years ago

I decided to test mine the other day. It does indeed work. I have to admit, I chickened out a split second before it engaged. When it engaged, it felt like antilock brakes, with the vibration/pulsing thru the brake paddle.

Stay safe out there!

No need to run recalibration after windshield replacement.
