I’m thinking about getting new tires for my sport S standard axle. I have a 3.73 with takeoff Wildpeak 285’s. I measured them this morning at 34 PSI and was surprised to see they were only 31.5 inches.

A guy near me has a set of brand new KO3 and I’m wondering if anybody has mounted and measured these to see what size they actually are? Debating the KO3 at 285, or rolling the dice and picking up some of these Goodyear territory MT 315. My neighbor has them on his bronco and they measure at 33.5. At 55 pounds they’re actually lighter than my current smaller tire.

All tires are undersized. My new 37" KO2's measured 35-1/8" before I left Discount Tire.
True, tires are typically undersized compared to the sidewall spec, but to varying degrees. The BFG KO tire has been notoriously undersized compared to others (Nitto has a reputation of being closer to actual size).

I'm curious if BFG addressed that with the revamp of the KO3.

GY MTs in 315 measure about 1/2" smaller than Mickey T Baja ATs.

I have a 315 GY as a spare and Bajas on the wheels, even mounted the Bajas are larger than the unmounted GY.

The Territory MT is light though, lighter than the OE 33" Falkens.

I would never pick a tire based on actual measured height vs sidewall height or how much it weighs. Tread design is way more important. If it’s 1/2” smaller or 5 lbs heavier, it’s not enough difference to matter.

Funny, I measured my AT3w while off the truck and they were really close to 32.8. My "35" Grabber ATXs however were 34.4 while off the truck, should've just bought metric. I measure for my speedometer calibration.

We have both a gladiator and bronco. I have KO2 on the gladiator and still the factory goodyears on the bronco. I can tell you the goodyears are really loud on the road the KO2s are super quiet. You might want to consider this your decision for what it’s worth. I would assume the KO3s are similar to the KO2s maybe
