How do you know the SAPS level?
In order to find a low SAPS oil, you have to look at the ACEA (European Automobile Manufacturers' Association) specification. For example, a "C" spec (C1 and C4) is a low SAPS oil. C2, C3, and C5 are classified as mid SAPS. Your high SAPS will have the A3/B4 spec.

Rotella T6 is a low SAPS oil.

When I delete the truck, does the oil matter as much? Genuine question as a diesel is an all new experience for me.
It depends. Stage 1 delete disables EGR, but still uses DPF. Stage 2 delete will remove the DPF entirely. So, within the context of what we've been discussing, you only have to worry about using a low ash oil if running the DPF (stock tune or Stage 1 delete). I hope that answers your question.

Answers it perfectly. Thank you for the info.

Since his Blackstone underwear numbers will be 20% higher.

Were you using STP with the other samples? It shear downs pretty badly. You would need to see how bad the fuel dillusion is with another oil analysis company.

Don't talk about my underwear. This was my first and only with stp prior to that was QS and pp. Fuel dilution is on the report. This doesn't look like a bad report to me.

Meant to say some of the oil in tte other samples are shearing down pretty bad.

Blackstone doesn’t do fuel dilustion. You need to send it to oil analyzers or another that does proper reporting.

Viscosity and Flashpoint are still in spec which excessive fuel dilution would bring down.

Are you saying Blackstone under reports those parameters also in addition to fuel dilution?

Has anyone put Hot Shots FR3 friction reducer additive in their oil and done an analysis? Seems to be a good product and thinking of adding it to my oil changes to help reduce wear.

Motor Oil Geek and Repair Geek YT channels have done their testing and say there is no tangible benefit to using it.

Yes, I ran it for two intervals (sample 7 and sample 8), and it didn't show any notable improvements.
