Absolutely.Dear lord. Apparently there’s no right answer from the dealer for some people. They just want to be upset.
Chill out and be happy the customer was taken care of. Isn’t that what it’s all about anyway?

Right, it’s so structural that when you remove the hard top the jeep folds in halfI’m done with this idiocy. You guys are why the internet sucks. So I’ll just tell you you’re flat out wrong.
1. It’s near a fastener. It’s structural, not cosmetic.
2. They did weight by their customer, and did nothing unethical. You’re imagining that they will, but it’s all your cynical predictions.
Structural for the top, yes. For the Jeep, of course not. But it’s finally clear. You’re mad at another dealer and Jeep because they didn’t help you as much as they did the op. It doesn’t give weight to your arguments, but makes us understand your motivation.Right, it’s so structural that when you remove the hard top the jeep folds in half.
taking factory equipment from one unit to add to another to please you … Stallantis told me to kick rocks when I showed them my cracked top, they claimed it’s a removable top and if not done properly, it can crack … I never removed it!
that’s the second person to say I’m angry/mad … who is angry?!?! Not me.Structural for the top, yes. For the Jeep, of course not. But it’s finally clear. Part swaps from DMI is a common thing. So common that how to use it is part of some service bulletins.that’s the second person to say I’m angry/mad … who is angry?!?! Not me.
Parts should not be swapped between vehicles on the lot. A new top should have been ordered and then swapped out at a future date. But I bet the dealer would just sell the unit with your cracked top and not do a thing unless question or asked. That second part is my cynicism.
DMI? Delivery inspection???Part swaps from DMI is a common thing. So common that how to use it is part of some service bulletins.
Exactly.Part swaps from DMI is a common thing. So common that how to use it is part of some service bulletins.
Where’s the thumbs down button for ridiculous responses.DMI? Delivery inspection???
“I bought this gladiator and it’s missing the 392, can you please just swap the part”![]()
3 pages ago I was thought we were just having fun.Where’s the thumbs down button for ridiculous responses.
You’re kidding, right?
Oh that’s right, I’m supposed to be angry… “no jokes for you” …Where’s the thumbs down button for ridiculous responses.
Seriously. I was happy for the op that the dealer handled it so well. That took a turn.3 pages ago I was thought we were just having fun.![]()
Ya know there’s is a difference between a troll and a person with an opinion.
You're not wrong....I had to get a seat in a canyon replaced(they replaced it) because of an hand print in the middle of the passenger seat after an oil change. A bit like playing Russian roulette with every visit...I hate to say it, but even if the dealer says they are going to replace the top, I'm not sure you are going to end up in a better situation. What are the chances of them removing your top and replacing it without any other collateral damage or leaking issues afterward? I'd just keep an eye on it and not do anything unless the crack gets bigger. But, that's just my advice.
Did the dealership actually write up a service ticket stating they swapped it and part numbers used? I am somewhat surprised they would scab one off another on lot unsold vehicle. That opens up problems for them.I just got back from the dealer. I actually received a top with the Sound Deadening on it. I am leaving a 5 star review for the dealership.
