The RAM folks mentioned that fuel dilution is an issue with GDE, soot in the intake should be reduced with more use of the low pressure (filtered) EGR. However I wouldn’t expect the oil soot to change much.

I been teeter tottering GDE, EOC Stage 1 (EGR and DPF disabled) or the whole enchilada with EOC stage 2.

I read some of the Ram forums also as I was trying to decide which route to take. Apparently because of feedback and oil analysis proof, GDE changed some of the parameters slightly to address the fuel dilution issue.

Right!!! I hadn’t seen an oil sample since … GDE has been around a long time and strikes me as a quality service. EOC does what I want however I’m not feeling the quality, haha…

I will vouch for GDE outstanding service. They are prompt and responsive.

EOC is a small operation but the sources the sell are top of the pyramid if doing a full weight loss. GDE is top for emission compliant tuning.

Are you using the Power gate 3 or did they give you the power gate 4 tuner to update things?

I only used the handheld for my trans. I sent the whole ecu in for cloning and mapping as I have my oem tune on the original ECU.

What do you think about the trans tunes? I like the stock tunes on mine. Does it lock converter earlier or something for the sake of fuek economy

Faster, slightly firmer shifts to minimize slip and heat unless it's cold, then it holds longer to warm up the engine and trans faster to minimize pre dpf egr.
