Hi folks a few battery questions for my 2022 Mojave because the main battery went dead a few days ago:

1) Does it have an AGM main battery (the one in the engine)? I can't read anything on the battery because it is covered by a cloth material and the manual doesn't say much about the batteries.
2) Is the secondary battery, which I can't see at all, an AGM?
3) Is there a way to charge the secondary battery?
4) This week is the Truck's 3 year anniversary, is it normal for these trucks that the batteries last about only 3 years?

Thanks so much in advance!

Yes, the main battery is AGM.

2) Is the secondary battery, which I can't see at all, an AGM?
Secondary or "AUX" battery is an AGM. Located in fender well below and just aft of main battery. Can be accessed through bottom or "top down" method by removal of Fuse Box in engine bay.

3) Is there a way to charge the secondary battery?
Both batteries main and aux are wired in parallel and you can charge them both just off the main top battery +/- terminals like a normal single battery setup.

3+ years is about when many if not most start running into battery and electrical issues caused by the batteries starting to fail. Since they are both wired in parallel, when one battery starts to go, it will drag the other one down. Best practice is to replace both with new AGM equivalents.

Below is a video showing replacement of both with the AUX battery being replaced from the "Top Down" method.

Hooking up to good agm battery minder if you don’t put on a lot of miles or it sits for several days at a time is also advisable to extend the battery life.

Does anyone know if our 3 year warranty covers the batteries, and if so, if we are only months away from the 3 years it is prorated coverage (not the entire cost)?

Batteries are covered under the 3/36 warranty. Jeep provides a specific process to follow that includes charging and testing the batteries. The dealer submits the results to Jeep and they decide if a replacement is authorized. They usually do not allow a replacement unless a battery actually fails the load test.

The average life expectancy is about three years. You can play dealer roulette, or just buy two new batteries and replace them.

To answer the second part of your question, the batteries are fully covered and replaced with brand new at no cost to you if they fail testing while within the 3/36 warranty.

Like mentioned by @Mr._Bill , the dealership has a specific process they have to go through testing each battery. There is a possibility they may only condeem and replace only one of the batteries and send you on your way. If that is the case, I would advise paying out of pocket and getting the other one replaced at the same time either through the dealer visit or on your own after.
