Really enjoying my new Rubi X. One feature that’s annoying is the horn sounding 3 times if you leave the Jeep with it running. Is it possible to disable this feature?

did you do a reset and 2 sleep cycles after you changed it?Even if you get a Tazer it will go back to default it seems. I've had mine a month and it started again. I'm going to redo it tomorrow.
Put a NC relay in the power line feeding the horn. Use a Aux switch to trigger (open) the relay and turn off the horn. Program the switch to work only when the engine is running and to not remember the button state so that it resets to normal horn function each time the truck is started.Someday I'm going to wire the horn up to a relay off the seat belt switch or shifter sensor or something. So annoying.
Might not even be possible to interrupt the power to the horn with the canbus system, haven't looked. I expect someday somebody clever enough will come up with some sort of plug and play module solution. Or at least I hope.
I’ve had that happen myself before…although, I could always blame it on something else that caused it to reset.Even if you get a Tazer it will go back to default it seems. I've had mine a month and it started again. I'm going to redo it tomorrow.
Every once in a while somebody claims it does but I've never found an option for it. They do update the software sometimes though, it's possible something's been added. But given it's a live function of the tazer I'm guessing it's not a modifiable saved option in the BCMAnyone know if JSCAN can disable it?
as I said the only time I have had it "forget settings" was after re marry and I didn't reboot or sleep I think it was 2 months in to using Tazer, Next got out of the truck to get mail honk was backI’ve had that happen myself before…although, I could always blame it on something else that caused it to reset.
I’ve had it for 6 months now. I’ve had it out a couple times (unmarry, reboot, sleep cycles, etc) for dealership visits. I’ve written myself ‘better’ notes for doing those cycles (cuz the users guide is horrible). You gotta be patient and can’t rush the process.
Just recently…. I had it out for a dealership visit and was pleasantly surprised… when I installed the tazer back in (marry, reboot, sleep cycles), the Kill3honk setting that was set prior was still intact….. so, it remembered that setting.
The Kill3honk setting is a LIVE function (engine on) and you shouldn’t need to do the sleep cycles for this adjustment.
