Disable horn when leaving vehicle

There does not appear to be any setting JScan could change. Even the Tazer doesn't change any settings - it's a "live" feature on that device.

Hate it too. I chose the free option and put the fob in the handy slot between the drink holders when exiting with engine running. I had to "train" myself but now it's just muscle memory.

Does it still honk if you just latch the door, but not fully close it?

That's what I do with my Ford and it doesn't honk in that case. The door has to be shut entirely.

Taser for sure, mine will loose its mind evey so offten and does the honk thing. I just go to the audio screen #(8) enter the Tazer menu and it reads "updating" then all is back to normal...

Interesting….. wonder why you have to do that?? It should update automatically…..

Programmed my tazer to get rid of the beeps over a year ago.....haven't had any issues since them. The only glitch I've ever encountered with the tazer is my backup camera (it comes on when I use my turn signal) will get "stuck" on for almost a minute at some times. Everything else has worked flawlessly for me.

Yup. Post 6/2021 only, along with missing tire fill alert. I love that feature for air down and air up.

My 2024 Ford Mustang GT (Performance Pac.) Has in settings the ability to completely shut off the beeps. So ovbiously it's Not a State Or Federal requirement... Just like the Start/Stop on my Mustang is factory non existing on my car because of a chip shortage on early production models. Stellantis Will Not shut off 3 loud horns blasts because its for our own good and safety.... BUT they WILL SELL a 800 HP car to a 16 year old kid who has the cash to pay for it. What The F*** !!

Even if you get a Tazer it will go back to default it seems. I've had mine a month and it started again. I'm going to redo it tomorrow.

That happened to me once! Only the one time, never again. I start and leave the Jeep every day, so lot's of attempts, and all but the once are good... Tazer for the win.

I hate it too, however today first time it did what supposed to!!! I left my Jeep and closed the door, the hated 3 beeps?? Hey I’ve got my keys with me? Tried again, 3 beeps yup the truck was not shut off!! Yipe I guess I am getting old!!

Fitst time I’ve ever Done that since my first CJ? Ouch but proves truck engine sure quiet! I’ll not complain about 3 beeps any more, still a pain in the ass though!

The first latch click doesn’t cause my horn to honk.

Really enjoying my new Rubi X. One feature that’s annoying is the horn sounding 3 times if you leave the Jeep with it running. Is it possible to disable this feature?

Yea I find that annoying and haven’t been able to find how in any of the systems, through the touch screen. So all I do now is never actually leave the Jeep unattended and leave the door barely closed instead of closing it completely. Or just hide the second fob inside the Jeep. But then never leave it alone unattended. I have searched through all of the menus and can’t find any that shut that off. It easy to do that with remote lock/unlock, that is so annoying! I have it set to flash lights, NO horn.

Mine does not beep the horn if i walk away with the key and it's running. It never has. It's a 2021 Rubi with just about every option i think.
