This is very cool. Is there a spec sheet somewhere? I didn't find in the link.

Just curious what size tire these would max out at.

Hm, I'd figure a brake swap would be in the cards for people doing this kind of mod, would it not?

There are upgrade kits for the stock fit brakes on market. I would guess that would do.

Very nice, but kind of a shame it's not a full-float.

Full float 60s have been available, but at that point you're going to 8 lug. This is the in-between option that will give you plenty of strength for 40s without going full front and rear tons/8 lug/ etc.

Not to mention weight … those full floaters add a lot of weight at the worst possible location …

I'm not sure how much lighter the semi float is though, and the full float will have larger brakes. Benefits and drawbacks of going either way.

It's not, at least if it's similar to what a GM 14-bolt full vs semi float. 8-lug semi-float approximate weight: ALOT (same brakes btw in that application)

8-bolt full float approximate weight: ALOT + a bit more 🤣

Other companies offering semi float 60 rears don't advise running 40s on them. Both Fusion and Currie only recommend up to a 39"

Kinda waste of money with these, you’ll get some more strength but not a ton. Full float is the way to go, more strength, bigger brakes, and ability to pull and change the axle on the ground without pulling a wheel

Rating probably closer to a 38" tire. Flange bending is real concern. If you are going with a tire 38+ full float is the way to go and a brake upgrade should be on the list along with eight lugs to retain the mass.
