Massive ones since people have been running 42s on the OE D44 for years now
Why anyone would give up the ground clearance to run a 60 and be limited to 39s is beyond me. We've been running 39s on the wife's JLUR with bone stock xr axles for years. John Bull, holcomb creek, the Rubicon, and dozens of other trails without issue.

Isn’t the full float rear in the JL Rubicon 5 lug? Why not bring that to market for the JT? Would be a good pairing for the UD44 front.

I been wondering the same … it’s not TOO difficult to buy a new axle, $2500 bucks on Mopar parts sites and get new brackets welded on …

I was hoping the “full float” would make it to us gladiator folks for a nice easy swap … also, factory 4.56 XR option so I wouldn’t need to re-regear …

There is also a 4.88 option on the 2025 JL Rubicon.

Yep … you can see on the Mopar catalog, there is a bare housing option, 1600 bucks but there are different part numbers for different gear ratios… this may be a good depending what it actually comes with …

Couldn’t agree more. 37s on a stock D44 is all I’ll ever need

Tons and 42s would be great, but I'd need a v8 to make it fun to drive. At that point the build would cost me Thad the truck. Hardly seems with it to me.

There’s a certain point in which many people spend 3 times the money to have a power wagon with a jeep badge. If I need 42s, ima just get a power wagon single cab.

Around my area that's pushing the limit of a stock Dana 44, sands
tone has ridiculous traction that will stress driveline components. We plan to do trusses and RCVs on our Wrangler to go to 37s.

Just hit 48k on 37s. Jumping, drifting, wheeling and towing. No issues. Maybe I’m just lucky

They do make a full float UD60 axle for JT. I have them installed on mine.

Tons with 42s is pretty great. It does amazing off-roading and so far I haven't found anything it can't do.

While I understand and don't disagree with the spirit of your post, I have a few comments.

To my knowledge the Power Wagon has only been offered in the big cab, short bed option since it was brought back in '05 or whenever, so a single cab doesn't exist unless you build it yourself.

Also, yes, it runs the big shouty V8 that we all (or mostly) want, and giant axles, but the body is also around a foot wider than the Gladiator, so there are plenty of trails where it's going to take damage where a Gladiator's sheetmetal can sneak through. Also, even once you V8 and 1-ton swap a Gladiator, it's probably still a couple thousand pounds lighter than a Power Wagon, so it'll probably still break stuff less.

I totally understand your point. There is a lot of crossover between a Power Wagon and Gladiator, and certainly some Gladiator owners could have saved money on their build by just buying a Power Wagon instead. I might be one of them even though mine isn't all that built, but I wanted something smaller to daily and that wouldn't get so pin-striped out in the desert.

As for this axle, I didn't see pricing, but if it's reasonable enough, I could see it making sense as an alternative to re-gearing a factory axle. Otherwise, like others have said, people wheel the factory axles on 38's and 40's all the time and they hold up, so this doesn't seem like much of an upgrade.
