That’s your “little helper in your car”. LOL
Back in the early 1980s when cars were just starting to have those helpers - door ajar, hood open, trunk open, oil low and other messages, we towed in a totaled newer car for impound, and it ended up being abandoned. the service manager found and pulled that black box and connected every lead into that box to power at once. The result was a chorus of female voices telling of some problem or door open or whatever. He named it "bxxxx in a box". (sorry, gals - it was back in those days...........)

Sounds like a Chrysler LeBaron with their EVA. Their interiors looked like it was put together in a Minecraft game.

I'm genuinely baffled that people spend this much money on a vehicle and discover features about it by accident. I'm In the only one who sits in the driveway after getting a new vehicle to read the manual and learn all the buttons and features?

Wasn't there a Magnum PI episode where the Ferrari 308 was in the shop and he was driving a car with a voice reminder? I remember a scene of him yanking the voice box out on the side of the road.

Fun fact, Nissan was the first one to have that in a car - and hey used a specialized record to play he voice, not a tape or digital synthesizer.

Wow, that brings back memories. I was a kid when this came out in the 80's. My Dad was always buying Chrysler's so I remember my Dad's first car that had this box/warning voice telling you "you're door is open" and thinking it was the coolest thing. Now, as an adult it's just an annoyance. Ha

I did just that very same thing with the JT and a lot of other vehicles I've purchased.

Somehow, I missed the line in the 8 pages of build sheet that showed Remote Start as included. Of course, the manual says "If Equipped" in a LOT of areas so there's no certainty what came on the vehicle except the build sheet.

So, I missed it. But I didn't miss it forever. I just had to read the build sheet a second time albeit some time had passed before I did.

It's a nice feature to have. I don't have to worry about having heat come on here when it starts but I am going to dig into the menu today as I'd like the A/C to come on when the option is used. It probably has that same feature as my Ram trucks and Chrysler 300 had.

I don't remember that - but knowing him/the show, bet there was!

I've owned around 40 cars. Only did that once. 😬

Read the story on bitchin Betty. She was actually a real person.

Found her name. Leslie Shook
She worked for Boeing and McDonald Douglas before that.

I was baffled when most people didn't know their rear seat backs locked.

Might want to keep looking,, cause I think that could only be had as part of a package. Forget what else came with it. I have the 23 brochure on PDF.
I believe the package also includes heated seats and heated teering wheel. Atleast in the 21 and 22 that was in the package, don't recall the name. Something like cold weather package.

Yes, it was known as the cold weather package - remote start, heated wheel and seats.

In this house, it's my wife finding the 20 in the washer - and it becomes HERS and I have no idea what happened to my 20.
Yikes, I hope the feds don't show up accusing my wife of money laundering after seeing this!

Yup. That's exactly what I'm saying. Multiple times that I know of. And ironically, usually in the middle of the night. Possibly because it's on my dresser at night, and that's closer to the garage than my office/studio. So.....dunno. Bottom line, I'd love to disable remote start from my vehicle if anyone knows a simple method.
Get a key fob without the remote start, and program it for the JT

I work for no man.
You can have remote start without the cold-weather package. Don't need that in the sunny South. I think it came with my technology package in '22.
