I bought a set of 38x12.50R17 Ridge Graps. Removed a PILE of wheel weights used to balance the 37x12.50R17 BFG KO's. I mounted them in the beadlock position and did not balance them, not a single weight, no tire beads, nothing. That was over 8K miles ago and they still do not need balancing. I am very impressed with them.

After 54,000 miles and five tire rotations my 39 inch BFG Mud Terrains were at the end of their life. Below is one picture of what they looked like, but they would’ve been completely bald Had I not regrooved the two center blocks recently.
I never did like 13 1/2 inch tires for real off-road use. I like the looks, but I don’t think they perform as well as a pizza cutter.
And then there’s that video from the YouTube channel tinkerer’s adventure where he does some pretty scientific research on how a narrow tire compares to a wider tire when aired down and driving over obstacles.

So when these tires came out, I was pretty sure I wanted them as my next tire. Unfortunately discount tire is not even able to order them yet. Something about they have to vet them and it could be six months to a year after the tires are released to the public. So I went to a local little tire shop and they were here the next day.
Just got back from a 2000 mile road trip with about 400 miles of that being dirt roads. I ran them out 16 psi cold which when heated up right about 20 pounds while off Roading and at 37 cold or 41 hot on the highway. The BFG‘s when off Roading wanted to slide a little bit on fire roads whereas these tires felt like they were on rails in the same situation. And these tires definitely feel smoother than the BFG‘s did both on highway and off. The BFG’s weighed 87 each these weigh 75 each.

so after this first trip, I am extremely happy with my decision to get these tires over anything else.

By the way, I’ve been using the stock 7.5 inch wide wheels.

Also got some pictures showing these tires next to 37 inch BFG all-terrain on an 8.5 inch wheel and 37 1250 mud terrains mounted on a 7.5 inch wheel. These tires are right at 2 inches taller than the BFG all terrain! My rear spare tire, I have a rear skid plate/platform that goes into the hitch so I’m able to tell that these tires are only an 1/8 inch shorter than the 39s that I took off.

I have 18” wheels; they make a 37x11.5 18.

Oh wow didn’t know they made Ridge in that size. I’m so used to 17 inch wheels that I forgot about the other sizes.

yes it is interesting that they make what seems to be a very odd size tire; I believe they make the 38 in an R18 as well. I suppose it is geared more towards full size trucks like the Tremor etc.?

I'm very happy with them
Got home today from a 1300 mile round trip. Vero Beach over to Clearwater, then to Chattooga County Georgia and back , Deer hunting.

Good on both the highway and woods

Most of the miles at 75 mph

I am still really happy with mine as well. I just got back from a 1200 mile trip to pick up my LonePeak Camper. These tires are super smooth and quiet. Most people don't believe that I have a spare 38 in the stock location. Gearing with the diesel is fine for all but the long hills and strong headwinds now that I added the camper. Will probably just go with 4.10's

I already swapped in the Spicer Dana 4.10s
Was averaging 23 mpg until I got back into town and dropped to 22.9 mpg.
You probably want to go to 4.56 since you're planning on pulling the new camper.
I live here in Flat Earth South Florida, don't tow and rarely have anything in the bed.
It dropped out of 8th to 7th a bit on grades but was somewhat expected at 75 mph with the extra load I was carrying.

Developed a forward bow in the driver side Mopar 2" coil after completing the gear swap to 4.10's. Coil was contacting the upper Sway bar link , driver side.

Not sure if it was from the suspension hanging while on the 4 post but the Mopar lower coil pad looked a little squashed.

Went ahead and swapped in a set of upper and lower Rock Krawler Coil Correction pads and the bowing issue was resolved.

The RK pads are thicker than the Mopar ones in the 2" Bilstein Lift so I took out the 1/2" Teraflex puck and kept the 1" puck.

Still sitting level and at same height I had before.

Very good looking. I have a set showing up Monday in 38x12.5. I was worried about them being too skinny since I'm used to 13.5s but now I think they will be good.
Its great to hear that everyone is still happy with their purchase even after a while.
