Those sound like a great option and hard to beat at that price.
Were you using the KO2 in a C or D load range 37x12.50R17?
The C load at 63 lbs seems to be the lightest option for a 37 currently.
Tirerack has some info wrong. K02 from BFG sites is closer to 66lbs.

Im going to mount my 37x11.5x17 Recons soon. I would LOVE more options in this size and about the 38" in the spare location, the heat shields has to go and you need to have 5 or less psi to push it in place. With the diesels high heat, that would be an issue for me. Plus they are more heavy. The Recons are 70.6lbs.

They look great in 11.5" from the pics I have seen. I run the stock offset 392 Mopar wheels 2021-2023 and in beadlock config it will go from 7.5" to 8.5" . They will fit great and have no poke! They come in 33lbs with the ring.

Putting it together Saturday
Mopar 2" Diesel lift
Keeping the 1.5" Teraflex Leveling kit and 2" Shock Extension on it now
Clayton adjustable front and high clearance rear track bars
Cut 1/4" off the receiver tube

Removed the heat shield and test fit an unmounted 38 under the bed earlier today and it fit between the hitch receiver and the oem rear track bar, Clayton bar will give adequate added clearance.
Spare will rest against the face of the frame rails ( not between ) and has over 2" of clearance to the exhaust pipe

Pics to follow up after install

I got my 38x11.50r17 Ridge Grapplers mounted up as well. I had to adjust the steering stop just a bit so that the tire didn't rub on the driver's side upper swaybar end link. The spare tire fits great with the use of a BFH to move the heat shield a bit. I also took a flap disc to the rear receiver just to give a bit more room. I am super happy with these tires and still get great mpg!

Wondering what’s the least amount of lift for the Mojave for these to fit…

That will depend on how you use your rig and how much flex you are wanting. I am building mine for mostly fire roads and camping with really nice street manners. I want to keep the tires tucked under the fenders instead of looking like a Bro-Dozer....

So the heat shield needs to be hammered? The receiver hitch needs to be cut? I don't remember that from another post? They said it was aired down to 5 PSI to fit it.

Does it fit complete between the rails or partially?

The heat shield on mine needed to be flared out just a bit and I ground down the hitch just to make it easier to get the tire in and up as high as possible without having to run the tire down to 5psi. I didn't grind any of the hitch welds so that it is still just as strong, just a bit off of the excess. The tire doesn't fit between the frame rails but does tuck up in there nicely. If you had a 12.5 or 13.5 tire, it would obviously hang down lower. Keep in mind that mine is a diesel when looking at the pictures.

Thanks for the info. I remember Chris from Northridger4x4 who did this 2 years ago said he was able to fit the tire between the rails all the way up. I was with no air or 5 psi I recall? He said he had to massage it in. One person said that after 5k miles it was fitting easy when they did their 5 tire rotation. Hmm, I have the 37x11.5x17" im going to mount soon but good to know about this option for 5lbs more per tire.

With my 37s (Yoko X-AT) I’ve found that if I don’t deflate all the way, it won’t nestle between the rails. Even then, if I deflate to say 5 psi at my home sea level, and drive to elevation (where most of my off-road trips are) the tire will have pushed out below the rail on one side.

So now I pull the valve core and just leave it totally flat, with a loose cap for dust. Stays put that way. Obviously I have a full tire kit permanently in the truck to reinstall the valve core (a half a dozen spares in case I drop it)

I run the Nitto RG 37 x 11.5. Extremely happy with the tire. Thoughts on whether their 38 will fit in the stock spare location? Storing it in the bed is a non-starter for me.
Ridge or Recon?

Traction overall in any terrain I wasn't impressed in comparison to the Cooper STT Pros I ran before.....The Coopers were noisy and did wear faster, so that's why we chose the hybrid tire this time and they are much quieter.

There is also this strange balance/vibration issue that is completely random that comes and goes with no pattern enough to track it down. I can hang the tires on the balancer with a zero reading and have it be smooth in the morning, but shake the truck in the afternoon.....It might be totally smooth for an entire 400 weekend camping trip and shake Monday morning! I do a 5 tire rotation and all 5 tires have been in every position too.....

When they were new, there was a weird tight vibration that felt like a bad rear driveline universal joint at about 26mph and came back at 52mph......I wrote it off as a harmonic created by the tread pattern, but a few people on here made the tires stores take them back because of it.

One other thing I have found annoying is how rough they feel as the tire pressure climbs with heat. I've even tried to re-valve the shocks around it, but can't shake it! I've noted the pressure seems to climb much more than any other tire I have installed on a JT to date.

I'd like to see the new Toyo Open Country R/T Trail or any brand for that matter in some 38" sizes!
I looked at them at tire this week, but can’t get past all the bad performance reviews. They’re off my list.
