So, in lieu of making a horrible financial decision and trading in a paid-off 2020 JTR with 48K miles, I'm searching for ideas to break the boredom of the truck (and appease my dopamine deficit). I did the basic/usual upgrades in the first year of ownership, five years ago (e.g., Falcon 3.3, Method wheels, 37"s, Clayton lift, RPM 2.5 ton steering...blah blah).

What would you do next? How would you reignite the spark that I once had for my JTR? Every relationship needs to be spiced up a little bit (and don't say Hemi swap...I've been down that road).

I wouldn't necessarily say I "wheel" this truck as much as I used to; however, I played with the idea of focusing more on a Ranger Raptor "competitor." This is now my daily driver after I had to sell my beloved Kei truck (thanks, Ohio).

I wouldn't take a mill for my Gladdy. But I would do a V8 swap! As I stated, I wanted the Jeep truck since the TJ based "Brute" concept came out in the late 90's. I believe you can find some ground to make you fall in love with your Gladdy, I simply find some little mod to make it match your personality. Plus why give up the convertible aspect of you gladdy?

I would buy a prius and drive it once a week. Then regret ever suggesting the words Bored and Gladiator in the same sentence.

Going to a 5.7 1500 Rebel is very tempting...finding trucks with 2k delta all things being equal.

Do something different than a Hemi swap.

A BMW B58 would be very different and keep you both interested and infinitely frustrated at the same time.

Oh no...I went down the Hemi swap road (I had a 392 pending), but I had to back out for multiple reasons. After my emotions settled down (post backing out), the Pentastar is...enough? I guess?

Annddd...I did just get rid of a P38 Range Rover, which fulfilled the infinitely frustrated yet attached abusive relationship type thing. It at least had a V8...kind of.
