I just put extension hoses in to put em at 90 degrees when i went back in. ultimately its up to you how u want to orient them. What's that look like?
My attitude about all of it is "if you can drive around it, there is no need to drive through it."Mud seems like a good idea; it's 5 minutes of fun, but 5 years of shit falling in your eyes every time you try to change the oil.
I'm happy to accept all the mockery for driving around the mud, but I'm also not the one who is under the Jeep with a pressure washer laying in muddy water for an hour trying to clean it off.
I have a buddy who did something similar, but in deep snow in a 1970 Blazer. He got a run at a meadow, full throttle, and caught the front pumpkin square on a massive boulder that was buried in ground with the tip sticking up a foot and a half or so. It tore the leaf springs right off the hangers and sent the front driveline straight through the transfer case and the tires and wheels into the body. There were some minor injuries to occupants as nobody was wearing a seatbelt at the time and the truck came to an immediate stop like it hit a wall. It was an expensive tow bill and repair. That is my attitude as well. I laugh at folks who decide after some liquid courage to throttle up and blast through a creek unaware of what is lurking beneath (think boulders)
Years ago, a buddy of mine thought it would look cool to get his K5 Blazer up to about 60mph and hit Holcomb Creek and spray all of us. Both rear tires went their separate ways and he split the pumpkin. He got trailered out late that night.
What fun is that?My attitude about all of it is "if you can drive around it, there is no need to drive through it."

Did you have to drill bigger holes? Or do these fit in the current holes?https://www.amazon.com/dp/B098H1KG4...bfb960f8de&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWw Now i originally just put these in upside down, then i figured they might not work very well even tho they had no issues. If only there were door seals? Don't park in the water crossing and you'll be ok. The JLs have a placard on the tailgate with the fording depth, dimensions, approach/departure/breakover angles, etc. Why they didn't do the same for the JT is beyond me. The JLUR is 30" or 33.6" with the xr package. I'd bet the JT is the same just from working on both. That's well above the door line and ours stays dry inside even at that depth. The only access to our AZ property is through this wash. The day I took this picture the water was at the top of the 37s. 4" of lift and 2" of height from the tires I wasn't concerned even though we were at/ slightly above the recommended max. My 2017 ram rebel was door handle deep in a crossing on the mojave road after a storm at just 1500 miles on the thing. 120k trouble free when sold so I'm going to say it was unharmed.I wouldn't go higher than the door line (baring an emergency) just for the simple fact of not wanting to have the dry the interior out.
You can drive around the rubicon on the highway from placerville to Tahoe in a car cheaper, quicker, and more comfortably but this is a Jeep forum? If I wanted to avoid challenges and just drive fire roads I could have saved a fortune buying a Subaru...I just can't get comfortable with the companionship of other men in the same tent. You do you.My attitude about all of it is "if you can drive around it, there is no need to drive through it."
