This is what I did with my JT....I wiped up spilled gas after filling my tank because the crappy nozzle shot out gas, because of this I was distracted and forgot to print my receipt which would've ended the transaction. When I left some ratchet woman went up to the pump and filled her car with my card! I found this out because #1 I saw the amount taken out from my account and was like WTF?!! and #2 the gas station workers watched the video and witness everything unfold

They refunded me the stolen gas.

Camped out at Huntington Beach and attended the 75th Anniversary of the California State Parks Lifeguard Association. My buddy received an award for being a serious lifetime waterman and it was cool to see him get recognized for his bravery. Not to mention it was a great bunch of people to party with!

I tell my wife all the time about situation awareness. Now days it's critical. I test her a lot, she is getting better. Sometimes distractions are from outside sources, like a fight in the parking lot. Could be a real fight or it could be a distraction just to get your attention. Then another perp gets in your car. I caught one like this and found out the group was all in on it. I reached to the small of my back and they took off. It was a bunch of kids. Definitely keep your eyes and ears open.
I had a second experience like this with the family in Rome IT. We were seeing the sites and were going to take the subway in and out of the city. On the way out, we were waiting for a train and it was just my family with my aunt and uncle. My uncled warned us about the gypsies pan handling. The train was approaching and at this time the once empty subway station was packed. I was thinking to myself, this looks like a pack of wolves out for a feast. The train was empty yet there was such a commotion going on you would think it was NYC at rush hour.

Then it happened, I was worried about my young children being nabbed and had a good hold of one and my aunt and uncle had the other two. I backed up a bit just so I had eyes on my other two kids. Let me remind you that people were pushing and shoving everywhere. When I backed up I felt a tug at my wallet. I reached back and grabbed the wrist of a young gypsy lady with a baby in her other arm. She let go of my wallet before it totally came out of my pocket. I continued holding her wirst as I turned around. She closed her eyes in pain. When I saw the baby I let go and she took off. And just like that the subway platform was empty, the train car was empty and it was just our family again. The adults in our group were checking to see if they had lost anything. They saw me holding the girls arm in anger. My uncle put two and two together, but my wife and aunt were clueless. So that is when they started checking themselves.

I'm glad you were reimbursed for the stolen fuel.

Wait, do your pumps not stop once you return the handle? Ours do, once you return the handle if you want to pump more gas you have to run it again. I can't recall a time that I've came across a pump that doesn't.

The ignorance and lack of awareness in todays society is mind blowing. Whats even more mind blowing is how some folks are so completely careless and unaware yet somehow have NEVER had anything happen to them. Just lucky I guess.

Travellers and tourists are the most at risk I'd say, especially Americans travelling other countries, because they are usually the least aware and most complacent.

I'm fortunate, my father in law was in law enforcement most of my wife's childhood. He did his best to make sure his kids pay attention. Sometimes my wife goes overboard, but that's better than being clueless.

As to the pick pocket, that's part of why I carry my wallet in my front pocket all the time. That and don't stand still when in crowds. Harder to hit a moving target, even if just bobbing back and forth.

Drank a beer and watched the snow fall while the JT sat in the garage all nice and clean. I got a lease I’m turning in this April so I’m just letting the Jeep skip the first Illinois winter. Yea pretty boring compared all the cool stuff most you guys are doing!
I moved mine up a spot because the HOA says vehicles can't occupy the same spot more than 3 days in a row. Once it's paid off ill be able to put gas in it LOL

it is unreal,, plus i have to prove i have 2 vehicles in my garage and my camper doesn't count because it specifies motorized passenger vehicle. BTW, i don't have 2 vehicles in my garage. The Glady barely fits in my garage. HAHHA
