That off-camber stuff will get ya. Trick is to go slow and steady and let the suspension do its thing. Even with the RTT you’re way more planted than you feel like you are. Did you happen to have the screen up to see your angles? Those numbers are good ones to remember for future insanity.

I did, got to 20 degrees off camber at one point. I definitely was going slow 😂 I know realistically we should be good til about 30, just need to get some more experience.

Absolutely love the Willy's, absolutely despise the high-back seats and roll bar....sorry. (see my avatar for clarification....lol)
No worries. It was a wreck when I bought it, the entire rear was gone. So I decided to do a restomod. I'm running Corbeau racing seats because they give much better support when doing the off camber stuff we normally do. I need the roll bar BECAUSE of the off camber stuff we do! It's a real roll bar, welded to the frame so will actually keep me from getting squished if we ever do go over.

And, for the record, it's actually a 1945 FORD GPW!:CWL:

I've been threatening to go camping since I retired in December. I've been talking about going for several months prior. I told my wife about it, she said to have fun, her tent camping days are over. We did rent a Casita camper a few weeks back, but it's not the same.

I gotta get off the pot before the Texas heat sets in for good.
I've been going over my Scamp and was about to head out with it, checked my calendar damn a Dr appointment next week, the back in Scamp a light quit working about the stove, AC fan not running ether. Was going to at least do a few nights local with it. I'm overdue for a Natchez Trace trip, then Army buddy in MS on to Houston TX sister and nephews, NRA convention. Craps on that. Oh well I'm needing to do some service on my JT and Wrangler. But a local camp out still possible.

Brought mine home from the body shop. Sheet metal looks great. As does the paint. Now to let it dry out from the snowstorm I drove through, and start the slow process of putting it back together.

Glad it was a somewhat quick repair. Looks great! Glad to see some moisture falling. I'm still afraid Colorado is going to go up in flames this summer.

Hope not. I can’t put much together on it, as I don’t have replacement rock sliders or bumper parts. And a new bedrug is coming, and hasn’t shipped. So I guess I’ll fiddle with emblems, badges, and steering. I think it will be months before I have sliders again.

Plenty of time to install an angry grille. :bandit:

Drove out to the wife’s family’s undeveloped desert property and finished the flagpole base install from last weekend and to fly the flag for a few hours before loading up and heading out to the desert hills to get in some trail time.

Was going to change Diff fluid and install my Cavfab covers, but storms kinda talked me out of it.
