That's the plan for the JT, 10" L7T under the rear seat on passenger side. Wanted a 12" but also want down firing for better reverb off the body, and the 12" won't fit without making a LARGER custom storage bin. Also with the L7 being square you gain about 15-20% cone area vs a round cone, so a 10" L7 is about 11.8" for a round cone. Loud was cool 10 years ago, now I want to FEEL the bass.

Might be spoiled, I have 2 12" Klipsch home theater subs in my bedroom and a JBL partybox for the mids/highs. People have said "It's like a club in there!" But I would still like 2 more 😈

I do want to put a sub in the garage. But maybe I should pay for all the other crap first. :)

These will 100% be replaced by a pair of L7X 8s some day, but for now these two Sundown 8s on 2700 watts is more than most people would need anyways 😂

Probably smart haha. But FYI, if you listen to edm or rap, don't go smaller than 12", especially for home theater subs. If you listen to more rock/country/metal, 2 8s or a nice 10 will sound better.
- Smaller = tighter/punchier/more response (8s/10s)
- Bigger = deeper/boomier/less response (12s/15/18s)

Also imaging a subwoofer can be annoying af, you may get fantastic response/output in a small area, then everywhere else it's quiet. There's ONE spot in my room where your eyes rattle and the floor moves under your feet, walk 2-3' in any direction and the output of bass is almost 1/2.

My home theater sub is a mirage 12. Best one I’ve ever had, and Mirage doesn’t exist anymore. I’ve had it since like 2002.

was the upgrade worth the money it took? I Am sure it was better but we are talking about a bar with a very small area that is being used like a box. I was going to modify the bar and install a pair of 6x9's but not sure that will function as well as they would in a bigger box. plus its behind the head which throws off the sound from front. I am installing a 4 channel amp soon so improvements to dash speakers also coming.

i just dont want to waste money or tear up factory parts for no gain
I kept factory sizes, but put in Kicker for both and stuffed the whole thing with polyfil. vast improvement. i didn't need more bass bc i have a sub.
