Haha, I’m the last guy to talk you down. I was offered a base Rebel Crew 4x4 for 34k or a Laramie 4x4 Crew 5.7 with buckets for 36k and I passed on both. My USAA discount would take another 1k right now. Smoking deal doe 33k. Problem is I kept looking at the damn JT that the salesman said was the first one they got and won’t sell. Thinking maybe I keep my Tundra, 4x4 Crew with 70k on it, as a back up if I don’t get used to the JT for long tow trips. I will say lots of inventory is coming and I think within 60 days we will see local dealers stepping up to match the sponsors if they are too far to drive. Otherwise order from one of sponsors for 4% under invoice. Somebody go get this one. The 5.7 was a little more.

I just saw 6 Gladiators at the Southaven, MS dealer, they said they have not sold any - got the first one almost a month ago.

They have a Max Tow SportS among their inventory also -

I just spent 10 years in a 09 Power Wagon. Awesome vehicle. But I have also spent the last 25 years dreaming about my ideal vehicle which finally made it to market last month. My Power Wagon has been used well and used for what it was made for (off road). It served me well. But now that my kids and primary exploration partners are off on their own I do not need the size and gas expense of the PW. I directly compared buying a new fully loaded 2019 PW against a fully loaded JTR. The JTR was about $8k cheaper. Now, I could have purchased a new 2018 PW for about $5k cheaper than the JTR but I wanted the new Ram transmission.

As everyone here knows the Jeep has far superior aftermarket mod capabilities than anything out there. Most of which I do not need except for increased clearance with bigger tires. I ran 35s on my 09 PW and could not go bigger without serious modifications. The 35s, with leveling kit, rub against the control arms at full lock and NO articulation (or against the body when I used the wrong wheels). i did not really care much about the rubbing but it was a major hassle when chained up and shit hits the fan. Turning that PW around in a tight spot when fully locked and chained up with 35s interfered many times... With the JTR I can run 35s chained up under articulation and with a modest lift could go with even bigger tires but I have no need. I believe the PW is the most capable full sized off road vehicle for my uses (hunting, not desert racing). But the JT will far outpace the PW due to smaller size, greater clearance, less weight and I would say a nearly equivalent payload and tow capability (for my needs anyway).

I have owned a Taco TRD offroad, Ranger, F150, Ram 1500, Mitsubishi SUV, Cherokee and a CJ5. None of these could do what I need like either the PW or now the JTR can. For what I do these are the only two vehicles out there that meet my needs. Had the Gladiator not come to market last month I would have been driving a 2019 PW today.

The Jeep search tool is now showing 96 JTs in my area (North VA). One dealer in Mannassas is already discounting 3% off MSRP. They will come down in time. Im buying in December. Best not to be in a hurry...

I know of 3 locally that have been on dealer lots for over a month. 2 Overlands and 1 Rubicon.

I started shopping for a replacement for my delayed order and had a few dealerships call me with a price of MSRP.

I said I'd pay FFP.

One said no way, then came back within an hour with $1,500 off MSRP and gave me a story on "all of the interest and its too new to discount"

I explained that its all cool, get what you can for it, and feel free to call me back if/when you can get to FFP, but I'll likely have one by then.

I bet I get call in 2 weeks when these small town dealerships learn that a near 60K truck is a touch sell.

They'll drop thankfully I'm not ordering mine until late July by the end of 2019 we will see considerable drops it's only a matter of time....also these rubicons and sport s they are ordering with options that they want is BS I would never buy a JEEP that someone else just hashed up with their own options that's just me.

Just curious as to why all the Sport S packages that I have found have the $1295 Alpine Premium option on top of the 7" Radio and Convenience packages (which are logical adds) ? Seems like that is not a good add to every truck for someone looking at a mid level buy? The soft-tops are moving very slowly around here. The Rubicons are going the quickest.

At this point, it would be crazy to pay over sticker, or even invoice, for this vehicle. My local small dealer has them sitting. 5 of the nearly same exact White Rubicon plus several others. In my opinion, only releasing 4 colors at launch was a mistake also. Jeeps are known for crazy color choices. I am also sticking with my feeling that I dislike the rear door shape.

I got mine for invoice and it was the first truck load (they got two almost identical rubicons). First one was ordered, I grabbed the second one. It had only been on the lot 3 days. Might want to look down here, not sure what you're looking for. Haley has a single overland now, advertised at ~3% under msrp, could probably get it for a little less.

Yeah, I wanted Gobi but waiting for Jeep colors is an exercise in frustration, It was the same problem with the JL. I think you could get yellow for maybe a 30 day window, which to be honest is stupid. I don't know why they offer 5 levels of grayscale and like 2 actual colors at any time. I like the bright white (luckily) but they should always have a dark green and tan available.

You realize that the rear door “shape” is exact same door from the current Wrangler....
