No kidding? With all the time I spent staring at the Gladiator, I never noticed that.

I got mine for invoice and it was the first truck load (they got two almost identical rubicons). First one was ordered, I grabbed the second one. It had only been on the lot 3 days. Might want to look down here, not sure what you're looking for. Haley has a single overland now, advertised at ~3% under msrp, could probably get it for a little less.
I’m in Nova but bought my previous 2015 JKU Rubicon from Haley. It was a great buying experience and I’d happily buy from them again. I cannot say the same about Dulles Dodge and Jeep. I leased my Hellcat from them and would never go back. They gave me a trade in price then reneged when I got there. I also caught them fudging numbers in their favor twice during the sit down with finance. I should have walked away, but I wanted the car and left with it and my Jeep. Sold the Jeep to a friend days later.

Just can’t beat the GLADIATOR BAD ASS LOOK AND RIDE LOL. I have the Rangers and lifted them and you can get a 6 inch lift to accommodate 35s. I went with the 2 inch leveling kit and did 33s. If you look closely I have my Rubicon Gladiator 33s on my Blue Ranger. My Rangers are excellent trucks and a lot of fun but my Gladiator is just awesome and over the top looks and truck feel ride. And I have owned every truck under the sun lol and the Jeep Gladiator is my new favorite. And I just recently sold my Ford Raptor 2018 which she was the baddest of the trucks I have ever owned.

I love the wheels and lift - this Gladiator looks really good! I think the bigger wheels and added height diminishes the negative appearance of the longer wheel base that the Gladiator has.

Too early to tell if the JT will be a flop but, this salesman makes some good points after 2 full months of being on sale and available.

He is just a terrible salesman, the gladiator is not and will not be a “flop”

They can not keep them on the lots here at over MSRP.

This guy wants to be the YOUTUBE car sales go to its click bait. The heading should be edited on his YouTube post to “Is the Jeep Salesman a FLOP”.

The guy is saying what everyone else has noticed, they aren't moving off the lots like they had hoped for. That would be the definition of a flop to an auto maker.

I think the slow sales are a combination of factors. They pushed highly optioned vehicles, coupled with dealer mark ups in many areas. The color selection is limited. Ordering has been difficult with part availability issues. And with people having waited decades for this vehicle, what is another year to get the diesel version?

Ok, I'm sorry but I have to say something here.

Consumers don't understand what the Gladiator gives them that the Wrangler doesn't, and the reason they don't understand is because the salesmen are more clueless than they are. The guy in this video is a moron.

The Tacoma is "more capable"? How? It has the worst powertrain, worst brakes, worst interior space, worst towing/hauling, worst everything in the segment. Realistically, it's the second worst truck in the segment behind the Nissan Frontier, which is the only truck older than the platform the Tacoma is built on.

Then he brings up the "recalls" that FCA had to overcome in the first model year of the JL, completely neglecting to mention that Toyota leads the world in vehicle recalls, and not long ago was buying back complete trucks because the frame were folding up like lawn chairs on people.

He basically made a long video saying absolutely nothing helpful or beneficial whatsoever. No mention of how Gladiator has double the payload, double the towing, and double the cargo space as Wrangler. No mention of how it leads the segment in gas engine towing capacity. No mention of how it's mechanically superior from bumper to bumper including things like largest brakes in the segment. No mention of how it currently leads the segment in resale value. Basically he said nothing about the truck at all that a salesman should know. And, because of people like him consumers will also remain ignorant about the truck and why it's a good buy.

cars.com has over 4,000 JT's on their site. It seems Jeep sold around 10,000 in the first two months. If cars.com is correct then the Sport and Sport S hasn't hit the showrooms yet. There are a lot of mall crawlers like me that want a JT but are holding off for the bargains.

On the other hand ... He pretty much nailed my demographic.

I was totally interested in his points, since they checked mine one after the other. Would have purchased day one at a price point. Love the jeep. He distanced the 2 door as not part of this talk. He diminished specs; I don't give a shit about Compar-o. I stopped responding to my SP after month of hello.. I just won't pay the millennial bullshit economic analysis price points. Basically what he said.

if the old adage holds that one phone call is worth X amount of votes/purchases, then there are thousands of sidelined buyers waiting like me. Back in early plywood, my point was always "yo car industry, you real real fucked up on a significant segment of buyers like me who had to bail your asses out, and you oughta consider that when pricing, in fact, you oughta have an I'm sorry 0 interest loan from FCA and discounts pricing". They crushed a vintage Jeep in an advertisement, stupidly.

Now this jackass comes out yelling flop and everyone is on his ass for being a bad salesman. Sorry Bros, he is talking right to me, and homers aren't. F

FCA went back to old habits, aimed high in the segment, and if there is ONE JT on the lot in this immense demand environment, then it is flop. Or at least missed opportunity for Jeep.

Ok, tell me why I'm an idiot.

The Jeep search tool is now showing 96 JTs in my area (North VA). One dealer in Mannassas is already discounting 3% off MSRP. They will come down in time. Im buying in December. Best not to be in a hurry...
You have to be careful with those internet available numbers - dealers are Morons and they all show generic images of trucks they don’t have, or better yet, they get one truck and keep it listed on the sites. Possibly the worst at this crap is motorcycles. When I was looking for a BMW sport ,there was 288 shown in the the color I wanted. After weeks of calling near every dealer ,there was only three in the US.

This internet sales thing is run by bottom feeders - most all car dealers and salesmen are criminals!

Dealers are the cause of the lower sales numbers. Asking MSRP or above is just screwing the customer and jeep. Once they start to sell at resonable prices, they will be a big hit. I believe that Jeep will have to start offering incentives to dealers soon to be able to compete with the Tacoma's sales numbers.

I believe it is a pricing issue, plain and simple. I'm a guy who wanted a Brut but couldn't swing $100K even though it was "the perfect vehicle." Fast forward to the Gladiator announcement, I'm the first guy at the dealership when they displayed a Black, loaded Rubicon Gladiator. It was gorgeous, and then I looked at the sticker: $64K. The reality was I'd have to come out of pocket with cash on top of trading in a 2018 F150 Supercrew Lariat LOADED including a Whipple supercharger making 750HP with full dealer warranty. Until prices come down to reality, I'm sticking with the F150 unfortunately.
