I've been saying all along that the Pentastar was NOT designed for any kind of forced induction. Which is part and parcel to me waiting for the Ecoschnitzel.
Honda motors are open decked and can run lots of boost and be semi reliable. Tuning is huge most use a standalone setup or something like Hondata.

what's the lesson? don't turbo/supercharge a factory non turbo/supercharged engine?
Maybe not to dick around with the digital tuning, ad infinitum, after your turbo was installed! Or maybe not dumping “Jet fuel” into every tank of gas you buy! OR... maybe learning the difference between a “bump” (when crawling), and trying to bounce your vehicle over something, by slamming into the obstacle at 8000 rpm... js... have you seen the video of their off-roading excursion back east? They bent their axle, and broke gear teeth in their diff! Didn’t surprise me at all when their engine blew on the way back! ;{

Is anything those two boneheads do intelligent? They were probably given the turbo for free (or were paid) to install it in exchange for free advertising.

Everything YouTubers do is for dramatic effect. It's all about amassing views on their channel in order to generate payments for their content...

They will probably make enough in views from blowing their engine to get a V8 engine swap and still pay the bills for a few months.
I think they’ve already got a deal to get a Hellcat! (Probably also for free! Just pr for the garage that does it!)

So just for shits, what did they do about the 11.3:1 compression ratio that comes stock with the 3.6? You don’t just slam Moar Air! and Moar Fuel! in to make Moar Powah! without accounting for the greatly increased volume. At least not by my manuals.

I wonder, could massive preignition have lead to bearing failures? Shocking
That was my thought when I watched that video. With a stock 11.3:1 compression ratio with any boost you better be running at least 100 octane. It's a bad idea and I wasn't surprised they blew the engine.

Totally agree. America's Most Wanted 4x4 can't buy all the advertising that a free $50K Hellcat conversion for LiteBrite would provide and it cements AMW4x4 as the go-to shop in the segment (as if the CodeX Project and the Purple Gladiator isn't already doing just that).

You keep saying Fiat like it’s a bad thing. The Fiat group do happen to know what they are doing. Fiat Abarth 131, Lancia Stratos, Lancia Delta Intergrale, Lancia Stradale and every modern Ferrari. We pretty much have the gladiator because of a promise made by Marchionne made to the UAW to get them behind him in 2015.

But hey, it’s okay, it’s not like American cars in the mid to late 70’s were any better than fiats of the same period and in a lot of ways they were far worse. Nothing like buying your brand new Eagle SX4 and finding rust on the showroom floor. But hey at least it not a fiat, right?

Yeah not to mention Fiat's heavy involvement in industrial and agricultural equipment for decades. I'm not sure why everybody bags on Fiat. Italians make the best food on the planet, the fastest cars on the planet, and some of the most amazing machines you'll ever see out in a field working.
