The recall, documents posted by NHTSA said, is for Gladiators built between Dec. 15, 2018 and June 25 of this year. The estimated number of the nearly 3,500 Gladiators with a defect is only 5 percent, but likely because of the nature of the recall, a stop sale was issued on affected Gladiators until a fix is complete.

. almost makes me wanna not drive mine until inspected by dealership.... wondering if a “stop drive” should have been issued? Awesome to know that a 45k plus vehicle does not have 10 cents worth of grease.

Its interesting, I have an LE that was made in that date range but does not show up in the VIN search tool. Either the tool isn't accurate based on VIN or maybe the LE's were done via a different process? *Knocks side of head* I've not had any issues so far. I guess odds are it's in the 95% group.

Yay! The VIN check shows there are no outstanding recalls! Now if Jeep would just hurry up and spray my bed liner and ship it to my dealer!

I wonder if they narrowed it down to a specific employee that wasn't applying the grease properly and therefore they were able to eliminate 95% of the JTs built.
