Mine was E status on June 25th and my Vin comes back clean.

Not so lucky..... Put my VIN into the tool and it showed up with the recall...

I wonder if this is the clunk I hear going from Park to Reverse... hummmm...

I may not have be clear enough. What I meant was can this problem be checked and confirmed by the owner (by inspecting the affected part). I asked because Oct. 19th is over a month away and I'd hate to have something happen.

Does this mean the dealerships don't even know about this then?

I called my dealer, and they are aware, but said they'll receive the list of affect vehicles that came from their dealerships around the same time affected owners get there written notices.

I stopped by dealership for-oil change appointment and they checked my vin nothing come out been told that recall was released yesterday first parts are not available and data base hasn’t been updated with all the affected units basically I believe they will start sending notices to owners once some parts are available to be swap

I wonder if they narrowed it down to a specific employee that wasn't applying the grease properly and therefore they were able to eliminate 95% of the JTs built.

They don't have artisinal craftsmen assembling drive lines.

A truck pulls up to the dock and a fork lift unloads them from a supplier who in all likelihood pays somebody $8.75 an hour to assemble them. $9.25 an hour if they speak English and have a green card.
