Flip by spare tire over so I would have access to the valve stem to fill/check the spare, it was at 34 psi, filled it to 40 psi.

This also familiarized me with the tools and process of removing and installing the spare under the JT. In most situation when lowering and removing the spare, be prepared to get dirty.

Edit:
Also, I was shown at a tire shop, with the spare on the ground move the vehicle away from or over the spare if safely possible to avoid having to physically drag/push the spare under the vehicle to mount/dismount the spare.

Great idea to familiarize yourself with the working of the spare on your time. Why wait till an emergency on the side of the road or trail? Also a great idea to flip it over so that you can randomly check the PSI.

Picking my gladiator up tomorrow from the shop have AMP research XL power steps installed wife is having a hard time getting in the gladiator
Interested in what you think of the steps. I had a set ordered through Quadratec but cancelled since they were backordered (in stock now I see). I had Rock Slide Engineering on my JK Unlimited and although I liked the concept, I hated the execution. Mine rusted in the first year (2012), steps went out of alignment, and both motors had to be replaced. Both steps finally locked up for good even though I sprayed them with lube about monthly. I liked them because they provided great side protection since they stuck out 3-4 inches. Do the Amp Research XL sit flush our do they stick out from the body.

I'd really like to hear how the latest generation of Rock Slide Engineering steps work in northern states (aka salted roads) in the long term.

I have no personal experience but have read in at least a few places (AEV is one of them) to avoid powder coating aluminum wheels.

This is from their site in the FAQ on their wheels:
Painting is definitely the way to go. As a general safety precaution, AEV does not recommend powder coating any cast aluminum wheels. The heat range and duration of the powder coating process may overlap the heat treating and aging of aluminum wheels. For this reason, powder coated wheels will not be covered under AEV’s lifetime structural warranty.
Amazing the number of them that do get power coated. 400 degrees to melt/flow, then I believe 350 to cure. I have to check the powder bottles each time because some do vary, some of the metallics and clears vary the temp a tad.
I do powder coating on small items, haven't done wheels, but I have had wheels done and you get some outgassing at times so it's not always perfect.
Funny thing - most aren't actually "cast" in the traditional sense but are cold forged with the aluminum at about 900 degrees if I recall, then they are machined.
I had 5 wheels done recently - would have to ask their exact processes (I don't have an oven big enough for the wheels)

(since my center caps were pretty bad - plastic shell with aluminum cover, I had new centers cast, then machined them to get them close then had a shop CNC them on the wheels to match the profile, then refinish the wheels for me)

That was my rational for going with the 6” wide rails! Shopping cart and car door proof! They also deflect gravel kicking up from the front tires.
While wheeling in and out and through the river bottom this past weekend the 6” rails helped push the vegetation away from the rig and minimize scratches!

I installed some new suspension parts with Sandsurfers help today, Rockrawler 3” front springs Yetti adjustable track bar & JKS Quick Disconnects also terraflex front bump stops. Waiting to see if the front settles a little before installing rear 1 1/2” spacer right now from fender to tire it’s 1/2” higher in front but from front running board to back it’s level. Adjusted my steering back to center it was slightly off.

Ok here’s the best i can do at night . Passenger side has to have the outside mounting bracket cut off i used a dremmel with a cut off blade. Another tip that Sandsurfer came up with is unbolt the axle side track bar & move it up out of the way so you can use a socket with an extension to bolt up the bottom swaybar bolt.
