So I'm not really crazy about the looks of the Rockblokz mud flaps, and at $170, just not gonna happen. Trying to find someone who has installed the Weathertech mud flaps, especially on a Sport S. I have a Sport S with take off Rubi Suspension and Rubi Rails.

What is the difference between the Rubicon version vs the Sport version?
Will a Sport S with Rubi rails need the Rubicon version?
Since the factory Jeep Rubicon fender flares are higher, do I need the Sport version?

Haven't found an answer to this yet....and decided not to keep hijacking the Rockblokz thread.

I had posted this in the Rockboltz thread.. I have ordered a set (front & rear) of the Rubicon version. I’ll post results here when I get them.

I have same question. I have Sport S with Max Tow (wider axles and fender flare) and just installed a set of take off Rubicon Rock Rails.

I asked Weathertech and got what I thought was a rather useless answer ..... “ If you have a Sport trim package, we would recommend that Sport option, as it sounds like you installed the Rubicon Rails after purchase”.

I’m going to order the Rubicon set soon and hope that correct. I feel that the best option, with the configuration I have.

I’ll update when I get them and install.

My concern is the Jeep factory flares on the Rubicons are mounted to the body higher for increased clearance.

Since the WT mud flaps also mount to the fenders, will the WT Rubicon version hang too low (and the molded cut-out not line up the rock rails) when mounted on a Sport.

I'm anxious to see what you come up with.

Fed ex will be here shortly with my weathertech front mudguards. I looked at the rockblockz and I think.... for keeping crap off my rock rails and the lower JT body - the weathertech is the least impact to how the jeep looks. If the rain stops - I may get them installed before the weekend (less than perfect timing).

So update - Fedex has come and gone and i have WT mudflaps - Like Christmas day the box was open and out in the rain with a clatter - I was spot fitting the new additions. I am quite impressed - WT takes into consideration for the Sport S rock rails (I have Rockhard sliders) with a depression / molding right point. My concern had been that I have the Max Tow and these line up beautifully. I didnt get pics of fitting but looking forward to oppt to install - BTW they key off the flares so Sport (S) model is your selection to position correctly for the rails.

That makes sense.

Although, there isn't an option for rear Sport mudflaps.

Directions are super easy - 4 attach pts per side. separate the inner and outer flare - nutclips and tighten.

Those look great; best mudflap option I've seen thus far!

Okay - got them installed - I like them good coverage and work well with no mods with Rockhard sliders. Installed easy enough even with cold plastic

Is yours a Sport S with Max tow? Are these Sport, Sport S mud flaps?

I got my Rubicon Flaps to install on Sport S, Max Tow with Rubicon Rock Rails, but am having a hard time getting the bottom two screws to catch the clips. I loosened up the Rock Rail bolts to see if it need to slide toward the rear more and that hasn’t helped.

Does anyone know if the Sport S mud flaps have a depression for the rock rails like the Rubicon flaps do?
