Factory Trailer Brake Controller releases ...EDIT: STILL WAITING

That's my take at this point. I need to hook up to my rig and do some testing and get things ready for spring shows so can't wait too long, but if it's "early 1st quarter", I'll keep watching.
As soon as I hear they are coming I'll be in line but you can bet with so many of the max tow and others sold for TOWING, there will be a long line and likely we will see them on back-order.

I didn't even think of potential back orders. I wish I had a relationship with a local dealer to get my order in when it is first announced. Hoping if I jump on early I can get it somewhat quick.

Any pics of install? I have the same unit but haven't been able to commit to mounting it yet cause once I screw the mounting bracket in it's there forever and I'm afraid I won't like where I put it.

Do we have an idea when it’s supposed to be made available? I thought I read somewhere it was supposed to be available in January! I’m on the verge of getting my JT, still making my mind up on a few things. This isn’t stopping me but I’d like to know when it’s happening.

I'm sure some people will hate the idea of two small holes in that location but it doesn't bother me. Plenty of knee clearance and I can look down and see it while driving. Also, I can easily use the emergency brake lever on it without reaching.

I almost pulled the trigger on that one, but then was told the factory one is expected to be out by early Q1 and decided it was worth the wait since it could have extra features and integration with the internal systems of the jeep.

I ordered the Redarc. Since it is plug and play I can remove it if I think the factory unit is better. Then I would sell the Redarc on eBay.

I've had it in my truck for a couple of months now. Daily in and out. Never once hit it with my knee. See pictures above.

Well hopefully the 30th being tomorrow is when this will finally release...

I have the order in our system for it but will wait until my Parts Manager has confirmation on the actual part number and delivery information...

Thanks - I'm supposed to take my trailer down to southern Iowa and pick up a load of barn board (after helping them dismantle the barn, of course!)

Really hoping that it comes through and is available tomorrow. I am lucky I only live a mile away from the place I needed to get gravel from, but even for that mile I wasn't feeling to great with 6000lbs behind me and no brakes.
