Cool... Yea, my JT is a manual, so, I am using 1st and 2nd gear high 4wd. It has plenty of power and 2nd gear is perfect for floating down the sand highway.Miss that place! Went to school out there, lived on the beach in pismo and took my leaf springed 4 banger YJ out there at least a few times a week.We would run 5lbs on 33”s doing really silly stuff and never once poped a bead! I eventually stepped up to a coiled 4 banger TJ which didn’t do as well out there as it liked to bottom out the ass at the bottom of large hills and lawn dart off the top. Air pressure is everything in that sand and you will be surprised how much you can do in 2wd squashed. Excited to spank some V8s and diesels up comp hill with my JT!
Here are some more dune pics. The weather has really been great here. We really had a blast ! My last day today, then, back home.Miss that place! Do you think the dual battery kit would fit in there? To make a long story there were alot. The instructions are pretty bad and don't be fooled into thinking you only need to make one hole through the cowl. I also had to re-tap the threads for the airbox since the hardware did not thread at all. Also too which may be overkill I drilled and added a screw to secure the hat which fit tightly originally but Murphy is real !
