did you do it in one piece, or 2 seperate pieces?
One piece. I installed the bottom section first, set the tiles on there paying attention to the 90 degree corner then sprayed the back side.

Why does it need to be metric. A hole is a hole. Most of the aftermarket bumpers/winches, etc. I use have sae fasteners that work just as well.

I know they have metric, but I don't know if they sell them bulk like the sae fasteners.

My ACE stores near me also have lots of stainless sae and metric nuts/bolts.

You're in Wisconsin so that might make a difference in availability. I bet the dairy farmers around you use lots of sae stainless nuts/bolts. The other option is fastener places like Fastenal, etc.

because the rest of the nuts and bolts are all metric for the Alu-Cab. I'd rather not mix and match US with metric because that's a pain in the ass.

That helps a ton, thank you!

If you had a moment to pull the tail lamp off to share a photo of the final wiring job and the path they used to get the wires there, that would be amazing. I bet I can figure it out if not though.
The wires I used have the brake light blink when right turn signal is on...... @smlobx has posted his AVO installed wiring here, https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/alu-cab-gladiator-bed-cap.30322/post-507603 use at own risk!
I was able to fish the wire UP through that hole, reach in and grab it from where the tail light sits.

Don't break off this tab when pulling the light out.

Orange nubs go into the blue holes, so when you pull the light out, pull straight back. The red circles the tab you shouldn't bust off when you slowly pry the light to the side of the tailgate.

Pull down on the red lock circled by green. Then push down on the black tab and wiggle plugs out.

I used those blue taps to connect the brown wire with the black wire, and the blue wire to the green wire. Black wire had continuity with chassis ground, Green wire saw voltage when my wife stepped on the brake pedal. Good luck!

If you did it all the way to the front instead of the back, do you think it would go like the pic with the strut on the inside?
Here's what the cabinet looks like with the side door rod "inside" the cabinet.
Jeep Gladiator Alu-Cab Gladiator Bed Cap 20200514_105530

Here is the view from the back, of the rear door gas strut next to the cabinet. Only like an inch of wasted space this way. This also gives, like 29 inches of space between the cabinet and the front of the canopy.

I like how you utilized the space above the cabinet for paper towel storage. :like:

Today’s Covid project was to install a thin carpet lining to the cupboard. Used some 3M super 77 spray adhesive and it went right on. Got some tile pieces to help it adhere across the base and some tap to hold it while it sets but it is a nice addition.

I was sure (not really) that yu might put some sort of Molle system on the back panel . . . ?
Further on in the Thread Steffen shows his cabinet from a different angle and it appears either misaligned or is it "normal" for the sides to not be at the same angled shape as the CAP ? I say that as I'm seeing a wider & wider gap (sunlight) toward the top - last photo of his ? Does yours have that "issue" ?
Can't wait to see these final editions ready veto head out on new adventures, Virus willing !?

the space between the roof mounts is perfect for paper towel! I love when people notice things off camera.

methinks they use the same cabinet for multiple canopies. The gladiator being more vertical perhaps than others causing this gap to be larger than in some models.

Interesting. On the www.Alu.cab site they state that all the cupboards are carpeted. They also showed this interesting pic with this mounted on the back of the cupboard

Another neat item on the Alu.cab site is these racks for side (translated from German)

One more thing. They have a pic showing a bracket to mount the load bars inside the canopy. Depending on the size of you load bars, you could store them in the bed
