Man, I don't see how yall in the big cities run around doorless and topless without worrying about someone stealing your shit... I live in the middle of nowhere, and I still leave my doors on, top on, and windows up, and doors locked at all times when I'm not in the vehicle or parking at someone's house that I know is a safe area.
I run a solid 4 months bare. I just keep my glove box and console locked. Its a Jeep thing....lol

I've had $32,000 worth of shit stolen from me (from my shop) in 1 weekend while I was out of town... I know what thieves do. I have trust issues, and that incident in 2008 made it exponentially worse. And the insurance company was an even bigger thief...Screwing me out of the values of the items stolen.

I don't buy things that I don't plan on keeping...Except vehicles. But I think I'm going to keep the JTR forever. I really like it...Just needs a V8, and it would be the perfect vehicle for me for a daily driver.

Sorry what exactly did you do to the latch my bad
When you flip down the visor you’ll see two foam pads. They peel right off. After you peel the foam pads off, you’ll see torx bolt heads. I loosened those and slid them forward like 1/4” and re-tightened then. Everything lined up nicely after that.

Made a rolling storage rack for the doors. Used (2) 4x4, (2) 2x4s, and (2) quadratec door hanger kits

Bought some Hauk gladiator letters for the tailgate, I am just messing with some vinyl to change them up a bit then the typical black

That looks great! I didn’t want to get the Gladiator letters for the tailgate because they only come in black and my JT is Granite Crystal. The red makes it pop.

Unfortunately that will be no different from my understanding. We looked at that kit as well. Same basic parts that come in the Mopar Big Brake Kit. Essentially thinking the issue is the JL and JT do NOT run the same brakes like Quadratec and all these parts dealers are claiming. So when you buy a kit that is made for the Wrangler even though they throw JT in the description.....its not an upgrade.

Maybe the guys at Teraflex are on here and can chime in!

Installed the Smartliner last night. Perfect fit; heavy, flexible, rubber; tacky and somewhat soft. Not sure how it would hold up to sharp-corner, heavy, loads; but that is not my hauling profile anyway. I typically have my mountain bike, a few gas cans, oversized boxes, or mulch from the local big box store. Only issue is closing the tailgate. The raised rear lip rubs the tailgate when closing so I have to reach in and lift the edge of the mat up an inch or so to keep the tailgate from folding the edge of the mat under. It's not a big issue, but if it continues to bother me, I'll either trim off the raised rear edge or I'll try a piece of teflon tape on the mat which would allow it to slide on the tailgate.

Yeah, tough pill to swallow. Was hoping someone here might have done the kit and had positive or negative feedback. If there is truly no size up though, the kit is trash.
I could be wrong, but I think when the Gladiator was released, the brakes were improved over that of the JL. I think that the Mopar Big Brake is an upgrade for the JL and maybe not the JT. I also could be totally wrong.
