I was set to order one of these and then I watched the assembly video. It showed how the key was stowed and was described as being there only for emergency situations and not every day use. That kinda defeats the (great) feature of having a lockable glove box and center console.
This exactly

If used with top off doors off, i need the key faster

1. Aux switches standard
2. a red dash that looks like a baboon’s butt? Ew!
3. A firewall port to make it easy to pass through
4. locking tonneau cover
5. locking under rear seat storage

That gets us started!
Agree x's infinite. To be fair, I ordered my Rubi with Saddle leather just to get the grey dash (and avoid the ugly AF red dash.)

fair. I’ve had my, and another friend had his, jeep broken into and the locks on the glove box and center consul did nothing to prevent them from getting inside. I have one of the Tuffy security boxes that I’ll be installing in my center consul with a combo lock to keep my stuff actually secure.

You can buy a Tazer and it does all that, plus dozens of things extra for $329.
I already have the jscan for about $90. The point is, it would be relatively easy for Jeep to make our rides capable of calibrating tire size so why not do it? Especially since the bronco is knocking on their doors.

A pillar mounted mirrors so every time we take the doors off we don’t have to slap on some other half a$$ mirrors that either cost more than they should or flop around like a pair of granny panties on the clothesline when you hit 50mph. Minor inconvenience, yes. Should it be, no.
Ford saw this problem and made sure not to do the same thing on the Bronco. I wonder if Jeep would be called a copycat if they were to do this now or be "forced" to keep them door mounted... I'd love to have pillar mounted mirrors.

@Shocker7 You CAN lock the center console. I believe that is a standard feature. The lock port is on the front of the top lid closer to the passenger.

@TRM07 It's different because your Wrangler has a rear wiper as well, though I would have assumed you would pull them the same way to activate the front. that's weird

Dear Jeep. If you are going to offer GPS in a Rubicon at least make it have off road trail maps. I don't care about finding food, malls, ,gas, and grocery stores. It sucks that I had to purchase an app to make this possible. I would have thought that an off road capable vehicle's nav would help find trails.

Not everyone goes off-roading where that could happen. In fact you have just a good of chance getting side swiped in a parking lot and having your mirror taken off as you do getting it taken off during an off road jaunt. I know because I’ve taken enough reports for it.
While you're right, "not everyone goes off-roading where that (does) happen."

So how many reports have you taken for off road mirror removal? Oh, that's right, none because people who damage their mirrors off road don't report that. I see...

If Jeep wanted to put mirrors on the a pillar, it would mean all new doors and different than the Wrangler, which the Gladiator is based off of. Yes, technically this is a first model year, but the Wrangler has been out for a while as have many of the components used in the Gladiator.
Nothing wrong with having it there and the ability to take it off. I'd love that, I could take them off if I put on some tube doors with mirrors or something. The doors could still be exactly like JL doors, just sans mirror.

@Broncosfan 1. I think some people fixed this with either a bit of tape of some caulking on the front part of the channel (yes they could fix it and hopefully they will but at least it's an easy/quick/cheap fix). 2. Your name now has new meaning with the Bronco coming out, be careful around here :P

You’re right none. I do not take reports for off-road damage as that’s not an area in my jurisdiction. It is also not what I said or implied. I have taken plenty of reports for sideswipes in parking areas, the road way, etc. where people have lost their mirrors. Sh!t happens no matter what the environment. I also forgot with your extensive law enforcement experience it’s only relevant if it’s happened to you. Pick and choose your battles brother. You can agree or not but no reason to be an a$$ like you typically are when someone voice an opinion different than your own.

Sorry we got off on the wrong foot - I'm irritated with all the whining about what is still a first model year vehicle that many seem to think should be perfect. Sh!t like the key fob being big just goes on and on and on. And now that the Bronco has been talked about (remember, it's probably not going to be on the road until next year) and Ford had the opportunity to use the Wrangler as it's target, Gladiator owners are venting all over this site.

I appreciate the tough job you do and wish you and your fellow LEOs the best - be safe and continue being the blue line between law abiding Americans and all the others who seem to have lost all sense of responsibility and appreciation for the USA.

You are right we did. Like you, I didn’t expect perfection. If I didn’t I wouldn’t have bought it. The mirror thing has been a topic for a while. It is a nice to have. I could care less about the bronco. Ford was able to take Jeep owner complaints and model remedies for their vehicle.

As for the a$$ comment. Totally unprofessional. Just tired of everyone telling me how my job should be done or what we have or haven’t done. After reading today’s policy changes incorporated by our leaders I’ve been a little fired up. I know that wasn’t your intent. Thank you for the support.

Man I ordered one and I don't know perhaps its just me and I usually don't have an issue putting things together but after almost 2 hours of no being able to get that FOB together because that friking battery kept flying everywhere as soon as I touched it. Tried every angle, etc but no luck. I finally put my original back together threw the AJT one in a junk drawer and bought me one of them leather holsters. Not what I wanted but so far have not had any issues.
