I took the Mojave to the dealership today for my appointment, and just handed them a printout of the Service Bulletin. They kept it for the day, ordered the steering box, and are installing it on Sep 3rd. They did not make a fuss at all. They even counseled me that while it is not dangerous to drive while waiting for the part, it will be annoying lol. I just nodded my head and said thanks.
Which dealer did you go to? Got my JT from Tri-City so I don't have one in the area. I have trust issues with some of the local ones for various reasons....

I had the same issue.
I took the survey mine sent me after the initial service appointment and now they refuse to do business with me. Apparently, giving them 0's is a no-no. @JeepCares, your dealers are making you look bad.

Picked mine up after they said they only completed the software update. The service reciept states they did the steerig box too, which I know they didn't. I questioned the guy at the counter, he said they didn't do the steering box, and then circled the software update on the sheet. He was pretty uninterested in the fact that I called them out for stating work they didn't perform. I might be looking for a new service dept.

Called my dealer. They are unaware of the TSB and said they need to schedule an appointment to diagnosis it and see if it includes my vehicle which obviously it does. The service manager is a woman...I was hoping she would have a little more compassion lol.

Sounds like a case of fraud against FCA. Corporate might want to hear about that.

I wouldn't trust the reciept or the service department's word for what was or was not replaced. Crawl under there and snap a picture of the steering box. We can tell you if it was replaced. If it wasn't, send that picture to corporate FCA.

I have mine scheduled for next Tuesday with parts ordered. I’m not too mechanical, can someone explain to me how replacing the steering gear will do anything? I’m really hoping it will help. I love my gladiator but I sometimes get pissed while driving it due to the wandering.

I had planned to reach out to @JeepCares. I have the same feeling, how can I trust they did the computer upgrade, if they stated they did the steering box and didnt?

I would call them to see if the have the parts in stock before driving there. Tell them you would really like to avoid 2 trips if at all possible.
I’m confused? Does Jeep only do TSB, Warranty and recall work through the Dealer you purchase from? I’ve never heard such a thing! That would suck for me, it’s a 4-5 hour one way drive to the dealer I purchased from!!
Just left dearelship after appointment.
35" tires still on. They said nothing about them.
Took Jeep in service bay, 35 minutes later Jeep back out.
Couldn't talk to service tech but Service Writer said it needs the part and when it comes in they will also update software.
Waiting for part to arrive now. Ahhh.

Sorry not much info. I was at least hoping to get the software upgrade today but no.

Will update any changes after finally getting something actually done.
thank you for the update!

Called my dealer today and he said he has to diagnose the issue before ordering parts or performing work. Scheduled for Thursday and he said it'd take a couple of hours. I find that pretty hard to believe in itself, but I"m sure they have to go through the motions before they perform any warranty work.

I understand, I did the same and just called about this bulletin and they said drop its off and we will try to get to it in a few days.

The guy at the counter circled the part they actually did, after I questioned him

I just left my dealer, called on Friday, mentioned the TSB and my wandering issue.I made an appointment for today. I dropped it off at 9:30 AM. They said they needed it for a couple of hours. At 1:00, I called them, they said the service manager, and tech were determining if I needed a new gear box. I had a contractor scheduled to be at my house at 3:00. I said screw it, and had my wife bring me to the dealership anyways even though they hadn't called. I get there, and of course they weren't done. I went to the customer lounge, and 20-30 minutes later service manager came over and said, you need the new gear box. This was a Clearwater Florida Jeep dealer, he said the part is sitting in warehouse in Orlando, we can have it here tomorrow, I can you get you an Enterprise rental on us. we will replace the gear box , do the software update, and you can pick it up tomorrow. I had been worried, lifted, 2 inch Mopar (by them), but 35's and Nexus steering stabilizer, and leveling kit. They never mentioned any of it. I had been to a different dealer , closer to my house, and they were total A-holes, said everything was caused by by after market mods, even though a Jeep dealer had done the lift.
