Just left my dealer and they said they ordered the parts and its about a 5 week lead time to get the part.
So 5 weeks turned out to be 1 week. They've been on top of things. So Hall Jeep in Virginia Beach has been great with this. Getting it installed next week.

Anyone get there alignment done after the TSB install? My dealership just called and stated they gonna do this so it would be a couple more hours... eh just want them to wrap this up so I can move on. I wonder if they kind of messed with the pitman arm or something by accident, I didn’t think this would affect alignment

My dealership did an alignment and centered the steering wheel after they did the install. The wheel was previously centered and they did an alignment just after I leased it. I think ti's just to make sure.

I think it should be a recall because it is unsafe! An embarrassing thing happened the other day. I was doing 42mph coming up to an intersection near my house. There was a car sitting in the middle right turn lane. As I approached I hit a manhole cover and the jeep swerved and the wheels were nearly in the turn lane. I could have hit that car.

Later my aunt came to visit and said a Jeep that looked exactly like mine almost hit her but swerved just in time.
Hmmm. Do you like your aunt and did the car you almost hit look like your aunt’s car?

Parts arrived at the dealership and I am dropping my truck off tomorrow.

I hate quoted my own shit, but.. I dropped it off this morning and got a ride back to work. They told me it was going to take 3-4 hours. 2 hours after I dropped it off, I get a call from the dealer. They went to start the work, opened the parts and found out they were only shipped 1 of the 4 required bolts. They said they can have the bolts delivered tomorrow and my truck will be a priority once they arrive.

I am really interested in hearing back from you how much of a difference it makes on yours. I like you don’t think I have a problem because I have driven both a Rubicon with a bad wander for 3-4 days before getting my Overland and the Overland was way way better than the Rubicon in tracking though I would say not as tight as my GMC truck was that I traded in. I certainly don’t have any slop in my steering 1/4” at the worst. I may have the dealership check it out just to see but wouldn’t be surprised to hear mine is not effected.
I made sure I paid close attention on the drive this AM - both to ENT, and to the dealer and to the grocery store. I covered everything from city streets to winding, hilly rural roads to the interstate, in town, out of town. I tried all sorts of things - letting go, casual 2 finger grip, moving the wheel back and forth quickly to see if I felt the truck respond quickly, and tried to pay attention and remember how everything felt. The big thing will be letting my wife drive it after - as she's unbiased about it all.

Reminds me of the TV commercial for insurance - we love our new house, but we have "ants" (aunts) It's one of the few insurance commercials I actually laughed at.

Had mine done this week and what a difference it made it doesn't steer like a drunk sailor anymore. Havent had it on the highway but like some one else said I could feel the differance in the parking lot. I knew there was somthing wrong with the steering when my 06 LJ with aftermarket steering that did away with the inverted y system steers like a sports car in comparison.

Why are you guys not using the Jeep Wave benefit of a loaner/rental car for the truck in the shop? I used it both for the diag. and fix?

Because in my case, the dealers are SO swamped, they told me up front "we are all out of loaners and rental cars". They were stacked up pretty deep with work. (the virus thing - people are getting vehicles fixed this year - my shop is a testiment to that)
So - they couldn't loan what they didn't have. Fine, it's a long extra trip each way but I'm so determined now to have this dealt with - with 2 other Jeeps at home and my SX4 sitting all year under cover, it's not like I have nothing to drive. The kicker is getting there and back. (although my wife's Jeep will sit until the 1st as no one can get it worked in - ok, so one other jeep at home.)

I had my steering box replaced today. I had a 45 mile interstate drive back home. High speed driving is where I felt the most issues. I could feel a noticeable difference even before I drove the 300' out of the parking lot. The steering felt much more connected to the road than before. I'm on 37's running about 30 psi of tire pressure and still had a bit of wondering but it never did dive like it would before. All in all this is a worthwhile to get done. I went in to the dealer at 7:30 this morning and they finished up about 11:30.

Are you guys just calling the dealer and saying you want to get this work done or actually going in first? Anyone have the work done at a dealer in the Tampa Bay area yet?

Got the new box today. I wouldn’t say it feels completely different as much as it just tracks straight. Still a little dead spot up top but closer to how my jk steers. Biggest thing is she drives straight. No more random wondering. No more constant correcting. You can kinda tell it’s the same box but functions how it should. Steering feel isn’t tighter but you just don’t wander or have to correct. Long story short I consider that it solved my problem on wondering and am very happy.
