Pretty sure the same front axle system is used. I put one of these in my ZJ Grand Cherokee out of an XJ Cherokee. They used this option on the ZJ for two years with the 4.0L six, I mated it to my V8 with no issues and both axles were D35s at the time. The only difference might be the front driveshaft
So was the FAD permanently locked 'on'/engaged somehow? As I mentioned, it seems pointless to have 'full time' 4wd with a free-spinning disconnected axle.

Is there any place online where you can see the 2021 colors?
I just googled "Nacho Jeep" so I could at least see them on JK/JLs. Big fan of Sarge, my last new car was a '98 TJ special ordered in Moss Green.

You still get the 4:1 transfer case you just can't get the optional Full Time 4x4 version with the Rubicon.
As said you are mixing things up between transfer case and final gear ratios. The 4:1 transfer case is part of the Rubicon and only available on theRubicon. It is not a pickable option here. To see for yourself you can go build a wrangler in Diesel to see these options. You cannot get a4:10 final gear ration. This has nothing to do with the 4:1 transfer case as it only affects 4wheel low.

Note: Edit : Seems as if it has been touched on since the original post.

So - at this point in time, we do not know with certainty what colors will be available for 2021?

I am holding out to see them n person before getting mine.

No, it shifts as needed with the full time 4Wd. The full time 4Wd is an extra position on the transfer case shifter. On the old XJ/ZJ with it it was like 2H - 4H -4FT(AWD) - N -4Lo. They too had front axle disconnects, so the axle just conencts in any of the 4WD positions. The trucks that only had AWD (V8 Grand Cherokee with Quadradrive) obviously didn't have disconnects

I was curious if we'd see any mention of a strengthened rear frame across the model line up (like they advertise on the Mojave).

A local Jeep service manager told me a couple weeks ago that the JTs are having issues with rear frames bending - which surprised me as I haven't seen any mention of it in the forums. The only thing I can find is the one isolated case very early on where someone was likely going too fast in a whoops section pulling a trailer...

Anyone else heard of an ongoing issue like this???

how long will the engine last?
As long as any other forced induction motor running low boost pressures. Doesn't take a lot of boost to see big gains. 5-8 psi is what the kits are seeing and getting 350-370+ HP to the wheels. That's more than the 315 HP to the wheels on my '17 Ram 5.7.

The FAD was vacuum operated early on. There was a vacuum motor on the FAD and once it was connected, it connected a vacuum port to the transfer case vacuum motor allowing it to shift.
To take it out of 4 wheel drive, vacuum was applied to the other side of the diaphragm in the transfer case vacuum motor, disengaged the t-case, then that opened a port to supply vacuum to the FAD to disconnect the axles.
Nice thing is that the early XJs used the same vacuum motor on the FAD as Eagle - so I was able to snag a NOS spare for my car. My vacuum system works fine - now - but it took some repair on the vacuum line rubber fittings. They had split in some places and oil soaked them in other spots, swelling them to the point of falling off the plastic lines.

You're telling me. Gobi was available on a Friday (June), and I sold my car on that Saturday. Called Monday to order and they said Gobi was discontinued.
that's crazy that they got rid of both gobi and gator, they were almost the same color, couldn't they just pick the best selling of the 2?
