I saw that as well. Based on that and the fact it plugs into the same plug as the aftermarket controllers, i definitely isn’t going to have any type of integration or dash display like the Rams do. This appears to be a Redarc/Curt style controller with a more factory control knob, as well as a mounting bracket for the control box that goes under the dash.

Also I see the 12V plug gets taped off. One thing I can’t tell is if there will be a backlight or not. From the design it doesn’t look like it, which I was hoping for. It’s the only knock I have on my current Redarc setup. I may end up switching to the Mopar control, mostly because I need to buy a second Redarc setup for my wife’s Durango, so I think I’m going to get Mopar for my truck and move the Redarc over to her truck.
What's the backlight for? When a trailer is connected, the LED glows on the REDARC, making it easier to see the setting number.

The LED does glow and helps, but being able to see the knob easier if I need to push it at night would be nice. It’s not a show stopper by any means, just something nice to have.

Gotcha - I thought maybe you meant you had NO LED glow........... and I thought that weird if that was the case with a trailer connected.
I need a light on it so I can AVOID hitting and turning it! I keep almost blaming my wife for messing with it and then realize - it's ME when I reach down to grab a mask looped around the t-case shifter. I keep hitting and turning that knob. Did it again today...... this time I knew it was me, I was the only one in the truck. Good thing she puts up with me.

My brake controller has arrived. The dealer will be installing it. My question now is, "Since the controller will be installed where the 12 volt plug currently is, where can I put the plug?"

Has anyone worked out that issue? I use it to power the rearview camera for my Airstream. It would be fine with me if it was just wired, even loosely, in the glove compartment. Is that a viable option?

After your installation, can you post pictures of your installation and if they had to interface with truck computer? One of the reasons I question the mounting is the writeup of the controller from a Mopar on line store stating it mounts to the left of the steering wheel, not sure if it was a misprint or for Australian vehicles?
"Integrated Trailer Brake Control Module allows driver to automatically or manually activate the electronic brakes on properly equipped trailers for greater stopping power on downhill grades. The controller and status display are mounted in the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel, and the included control lever can activate the trailer brakes independent of the truck`s brakes. Drivers can customize the amount of brake force the trailer uses, depending on load requirements. "

It's said that for months - even when the pics show it to the right in the center area. I always thought that weird. I bet I have some early JT marketing stuff that says it's to the left. (while the pic shows on the right)

Better tell the dealer you want to keep it somewhere or it even left lose back there. A dealer would totally go all the way back and clip that thing.

I think people have said the cabling is long enough to go to the glove box.
