If you aren't getting help from Jeep, put some pressure on them. File a complaint with NHTSA. Mention the TSB and the parts not available. This could easily turn into a recall with enough pressure. And FCA has been in trouble before for providing parts to build new vehicles but not for recalls on customer owned vehicles.

Yup I agree with this.

I had another phone call from @JeepCares this evening, the first call I had from them was terrible, but this one was even worse - had the most unprofessional person on the call.
I was told that I am no.21 on the waitlist, and the dealer is only allowed to order one kit every 21 days.
When I asked for the @JeepCares person to give feedback to FCA about this, and she said she would not do that. I asked surely you can give feedback - she said that she is "documenting" it. When I asked if anyone would look at this "documentation" and she said no. I was like wow, what a waste of time. Useless customer support.

Finally got mine back yesterday after waiting three weeks and having to end up taking it to another dealership to get the parts. Steering is vastly improved and as it should have been from the start. If I hadn't called around to other dealerships to find the part, I would still be waiting.

Jeep Gladiator New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel") IMG_20201110_124444309
Got mine installed yesterday. Went from about 20mm of play in the steering wheel down to 1 or 2mm. Plus I think the software update changed the amount of power steering assist. Seems a little stiffer. Has better feed back.

Interesting - I noticed no difference in the PS assist or "feedback", only less wander, not drastic change but yes, better.
Had no real play in mine so obviously I wasn't going to see a night and day difference.
But the feel - the assist, that sort of thing - no change. It does feel like it wants to return to center better. I might be trying to compare to my wife's Grand Cherokee with rack and pinion - that's FAST, quick, tight steering. You don't dare move that wheel or you are turning.

Seeing all of these more recent posts - wow, am I REALLY glad I went right in the first few days this was available. Normally I put things off - sure glad I didn't on this one!

Well fellas. I just dropped of my jeep for this issue. Did not go as I expected. Well I take that back. My service advisor was your typical "know all the answers" type of guy. He was already starting to blame the Mopar Lift that I purchased thru the dealership and was assured it would not void any warranty. SMH. So lets see what happens. Have any of you faced this and what have you countered with? Thanks in advance. So stressful for no reason. All I want is to get my Jeep to drive like it was supposed drive.

Respond with the most recent version of that TSB that says if the vehicle has a lift but is withing alignment specs (or words to that effect) - do the TSM. It goes on to say if the lift causes the vehicle to be out of alignment specs (or words to that effect) this may not resolve it.
A Mopar 2" lift will not throw it out of spec- if it does, that's on Mopar, too!

Can anyone point me to the latest version of the TSB that mentions the Lift specs? Thanks in advance.

Another update from Facebook. Revision B. Added steering gear ratios and some updated information for dealers.

Do you happen to have a link to this REV B version? I have a service advisor who wants to blame it on my Mopar 2inch Lift and claim it voids my warranty that was installed by them. Thanks.

Let's see if I can upload it...

Here's the part they need to look at -
REPAIR PROCEDURE: NOTE: Vehicles that have professionally installed lift kits, that are within the limits of the service wheel alignment specifications, are eligible for the repair described in this TSB. However, if the vehicle has been lifted or modified beyond the limits of the service wheel alignment specifications, this TSB is not likely to address the customer’s concern of wander, leads, and pulls.

Some days I wonder if it's my reason for even existing.........
You're welcome.
It should cause the dealers that balk about a simple 2" Mopar lift to step back a bit.
Your Mopar lift fits that TSB.

Semantically speaking, this statement does not explicitly say that the TSB should not be done - it merely says that the TSB might not address the issue...

This newly worded TSB is a kill shot to difficult service departments!

These two words stick out to me - "professionally installed". DIY'er beware.
