No, I don't think it would since it is not a repair. The easiest way to determine is to look at the box as discussed in the last page or so and check the part number

Stopped by my dealer today to ask about the steering. They did a quick test drive and said "I'll be blunt with you, I felt the wander, but it's because of your lift and tires (Mopar 2" and 37s). I'll do the TSB if you want, but it won't fix your issue. I inquired on how the Mopar suspension lift could cause steering wander and he said "well, it's the tires, you have to lift it to add the tires. The sidewall flex in the tires causes the wander."

"The guy that leaked the TSB has already been charged and fired, but I'll order it for you and have the parts in about two months (a few people ahead of me in line). "
If it was me, I would find another dealer. Either he flat out made shit up and/or is just delusional in believing any of that nonsense.

I really hate smug ass dealerships like this.

He also said that once he ordered it, I couldn't go to another dealer for the TSB, as the parts were linked to my VIN.

Any Jeep dealer can run your VIN and tell which TSB's, if any, have been completed on your truck.

So I went in November 4th, dealer confirmed and ordered parts. Just followed up and they said I am about number 10 in line and they are receiving about 1 -2 a month for install. So, I am basically going to have to own this truck for a year before it is fixed. This is totally unacceptable. Not only that, he said if I install the 2" Mopar lift and my 35s, they won't install the steering box so I have to wait for the steering box first.... @JeepCares, any help?

I called my dealer and his first question was "are you experiencing any symptoms?"

Is not every vehicle affected? I mean it's a Jeep so it wanders on the highway by nature. It wanders a bit worse than my JKU did but I have no idea if it's a symptom or just "a Jeep thing".

No, not everyone is impacted, and even those that are, it varies to the degree that they are affected.
And no, not every Jeep wanders, that's a fallacy - this is not "A Jeep thing". When they are right, they do not wander NOR SHOULD THEY.
You may say - but it's a straight axle, they wander" - no they do NOT. If they did then every ZJ and WJ made, hundreds of thousands of them, often purchased by women, would be wandering. And they didn't and don't.
No, they do not wander by nature. This is 2020, not 1945.
If they come from the factory with correct toe, camber and CASTER, they won't wander (unless you swap parts and set the wheels out and change the geometry, then all bets are off as you change scrub and other fun stuff)
FACTORY equipped Jeeps should not wander.
If it was a "jeep thing" would FCA issue a TSB to fix wander?

And the current/latest version of the TSB says right on it that something like a 2" lift doesn't negate the TSB process......... so apparently a few dealers pushed back and a few owners pushed right back and Jeep modified the TSB to say right in it - some lifts are ok, etc.

Tell them try again. IF they changed any parts, they must list said parts. T
hey didn't so much as change a bolt. You then sign the paper that shows the work done, the parts used, and they have to have that as proof in order to get their money for parts and labor from FCA/Jeep.

What they DID do was this - they did the PCM update -
https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10180285-9999.pdf

Here is the reference directly to that RRT in this forum -

Spoke to a different service manager today and he ordered the parts for the TSB. Said they will be here February 20 and that there are a few people ahead of me. It’s crazy that it basically just depends which service manager you talk to. You would think (and hope) that all service managers at the dealership are up to speed on all things MOPAR, considering it is their job.

Kearny Mesa Jeep - They are trying to correct it - no ETA on the correct part.
I picked up my JT and it now has the correct part number. They had the JT part number that jeep cares sent, they just mixed the part numbers for a JL.
All is good now and I highly recommend get it done, the steering feel is much better now.

"A Jeep thing"

IMO, it was "A Jeep Thing" until Jeep engineering pulled apart enough returned steering gear's to figure out that the original aluminum (or whatever alloy it is) design was not up to the task and changed it to steel.

Your remote location is definitely working against you for a quick turnaround on this one. I don't know but would think there are a very limited number of Jeep dealerships in Hawaii and given the current allocation constraints and logistics of shipping parts from the mainland, your dealer is probably giving a straight-up/ realistic estimate. Jeep Cares or reaching out directly to the Jeep zone manager is your best bet.

If you have the issue, you will know.
Drive down any stretch of road at 55 or more then look over and change the radio station. If you have the issue, you’ll be part to half way into the other lane by the time you look straight again.

I tried a dealer close to me for the repair and they test drove it and said, "did not detect any issues",
I could see right threw them that they didn't want anything to do with dealing with the issue.I bought this Gladiator sept 2019 and never had any vehicle drive like this one on the highway and I've own all kind of trucks and previous jeeps.
So I ended up going back to selling dealer on dec. 15th the tech drove it and said very minimal wandering, but I know for a fact they didn't even drive it on the high way.
Surprisingly they agreed to go ahead and order the parts, I was shocked and thrilled. 2 weeks later I followed up kind of thinking parts are going to be bit a wait and service rep. puts me on hold then comes back, oh ya, we got your parts in, no call letting me know thanks, however I was just happy to have them in so quickly. Scheduled service date is this wed the 6th.
I really feel for anyone not getting this issue resolved or even in a timely manor.
I agree 100% it should be a recall
As much as I love jeeps and this Gladiator, not so sure about it again down the road. smh

Dealers pick service test drive routes so they won't have accidents and insurance claims. A coffee run would tell them more.
They should at least have the tech talk to the customer; better yet, take the customer on the test drive before work starts.
