Right, mine drives straight and no wandering, just goes to show that the steering fix is nice.
I still have the aluminum steering box.. 13k miles never had steering issues but did notice what seemed to be a bit of "tie out" on my rig...

Dealer did my TSB today and noted that my wheel diameter isn’t accurate.

My wheel diameter was set correctly before I took delivery (Travis @ Tri-City).

Is there a chance they could have reset my wheel diameter to defaults when performing the TSB?
Should not on the JT. They do update the EHPS software............ unless I missed something, I've not seen anyone else mention this.

Throwing in my $.02. We just bought our JT this last Saturday. Didn't notice the wandering on the test drive, but after another 60 miles or so, steering really seemed to loosen up. Found the TSB here Monday night, called our dealer service department Tuesday morning, parts arrived yesterday, and work is scheduled for Monday.

From day one some Jeep people were hollering at the Jeep owners asking why they didn't do a test drive or why they bought it that way and so on. In most cases, it won't show up instantly on a limited test drive. It even states in the TSB that it's worse at higher ambient temperatures so if you go out and test drive in November when it's 20 or 30 degrees, only go a few miles, it may indeed seem fine! The accusations were flying left and right....... it's your fault for buying a faulty vehicle, and all sorts of other BS.

There's a lot of crow being served and a lot of faces with egg on them out there now - including hundreds of dealer mechanics and others.

Still searching for dealer near me that will do this TSB without requiring me to leave it with them for days so they can determine if I need it. I just want to them to order the parts...schedule the install ..and do it. I mean seriously, this should not be this difficult...TSB and Jeep clearly state what they are required to do.

The dealer had mine for 4 hours to do the job. That included checking the alignment and taking it for a test ride. The extra time they quote you is for their convenience, not ours.

I've also gotten push back from my dealer and what they keep saying is that there is a difference between a TSB and a recall. They told me that if Jeep wanted all steering boxes to get replaced, they would have issued a recall and that I could leave my truck with them and they would determine if I needed it.

I'd go to a different dealer for sure. It says "if customer complains......" and you complained, right?

Tell them to read the TSB again ->
If customer complains, do this;
Check for codes, fix those first (so if there were no error codes, there's nothing to fix or resolve);
Then they should go back to the line "if customer complains, do this......"

I refuse to get into a argument or pissing contest with dealers...because while I may end up "getting" what i want...I don't trust them to not be spiteful and do less than good work.

I would rather wait and find one that is willing from the start to do their job.

Jeep should have made this a Recall.

I just placed a call to my local dealer and mentioned the issue. They put me on a list without driving or inspecting the vehicle. My Gladiator is stock without any lifts, etc.

I followed up with Jeep Cares and they had a Jeep liaison work with my dealer to get the parts shipped to them. Once Jeep Cares got involved it only took about 3 weeks to get the parts replaced. Not once did the dealer or Jeep ask me to bring it in for inspection before hand. I’m not sure why other dealers are throwing up road blocks to satisfy a TSB that doesn’t require anything beyond the customer complaining...
