For now, I'm keeping mine covered on rainy/snowy days, hoping to hear something positive on a solution. Which stinks. Not happy with what I'm seeing thus far, which has been one of the following. Very few of the first: (might make a good ongoing poll actually)

-new window. now dry, looks brand new
-new window. looks good, still leaks
-new window. now dry, but top damaged
-new window. still leaks, top damaged
-new top. but the old top had sound insulation, and Jeep has no ready answer for the customer
Hello!

I heard you were experiencing these same concerns about your roof leaking water. Should you decide to get this addressed by your dealer and would like additional support from our @JeepCares team, please do not hesitate to send us a private message!

Thanks!

Mine has been getting worse, when I bought new last year it was pouring rain for weeks and never a drop. Put the soft top on in the summer and when I put the hardtop back on in the fall the first hand wash I noticed some streaks on the inside of the back window. Month later, colder temps and it is leaking bad now. First snow/sleet and it was pouring in when it melted. I am not very happy about some of the warranty results I have seen here and I would rather wait until there is a revised part and/or TSB, if that even happens.

I tried a home made weatherstrip to fill the gap, didnt work. I ran across this thread:

https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...-rear-window-on-hardtops-leaking.38676/page-3

I spent the 7.00 at home depot and so far it works great. Not sure how the adhesive will hold up when it gets hot out but its a snug fit so that will help. Two heavy rains, couple washes and 4" of snow in the mountains and not a drop. Doesnt look bad either, could have done a better install but I was going on a trip and it was 100% chance of rain so I was in a hurry. I'll let the dealer fool with fixing it in the summer when I have more time, for now its nice not to dread going out in the rain.

Glad to hear that this worked out for you also.

I'm still using mine, and honestly right now after more horror stories of hardtops getting scratched etc, I don't plan on getting this fixed at a dealer - at least until something more official and repeatable happens.

100% agree, I got the the usual 'we never seen a gladiator hardtop leak' from the dealer, even when I pointed out a brand new rubicon on the lot dripping down the inside back window in the rain lol. I like the JT, but stupid stuff like leaking fixed windows should not be happening these days on a 40K+ new vehicle. There should be an official fix for this, not a sublet glass company that is just winging it.

I could not agree more! This is clearly not just a random occurrence.....it is either defective parts, or some sort of process/procedure issue on the production line. As a quick example - subaru just had to recall a batch of cars because they figured out that literally one particular technician was not correctly torquing some bolts at their station on th line.

As much as I sympathize with your frustrations, JeepCares has offered their assistance and I have been personally contacted via this form and phone call 6 times in the past week. They have called everytime they said they would have also called my dealership that is handling the claim. I get it, the horror stories are significant but if you choose to handle it your own way or feel that contacting JeepCares is a waste of time your doing nothing but screwing over the next guy. Y’all want a recall on this but they need numbers and complaints to make a case. A form with any amount of complaints isn’t enough documentation for them to present to any supervisor to open up a case. Handle your leaks which ever way you feel or delay it but a TSB isn’t going to happen if you don’t apply yourself and submit a claim in writing. The delays and damage to the hardtops is a point besides this. Jeep isnt going to look at this greater than an isolated incident without numbers of actually documented cases. Until then, a dealership is going to handle the warranty claims at the lowest level.

IMO, Jeep needs to become much more pro-active in these situations. Ford is gunning for significant market share.

I hope Jeep/FCA/Stellantis whothehellever realizes just how important their existing customer base is . . . because new customers are going to have a significant new option very soon.

That being said, I love my new Gatorator.

lol all good. Wasn’t picking on you. Just speaking in the general census of the issue. I would love to a TSB to be made. Would be a lot less headache. I drive an hour one way to the dealership and can’t afford having my truck in the shop cause I drive 4 hours to see my wife.

Prolly will try this. Does this need a certain temperature to install? Plenty of cold temps on the way . . . and I'm eager to try this.

I'd been very close to pulling the trigger on a Gladiator but this gives me pause. I've planned on getting an Alu-Cab Canopy Camper on as soon as I get the truck. I now fear that the rear window leak will occur after the camper is on and then I'll have to take it back to New Jersey to have the camper removed to get the window fixed.

Could the rear window be replaced with a camper on the back?

There's no excuse for such shoddy manufacturing.

It was like 50 degrees in my garage when I did it, there is enough for two tries in the package in case you have to do it over when it gets warmer if it doesn't stick well.

Imagine how the Ram owners that bought $60k and up trucks feel, they are having the exact same problem on theirs.
