That's good to hear that things are holding up well with the charger! I have every intention to do this after the bumper to bumper warranty is up! How many miles have you put on with the charger? Man 4.56 gears AND the charger?! I bet that truck feels like a sports car!
Since October probably 6,000 miles. I drive a lot of mountain roads and when there is opportunity to pass a transport truck itā€˜s so nice to just accelerate quickly without hanging in the opposite lane! I really like the v6 with the SC!

I had my clutch replaced on the first recall. I'm not too concerned about going in for this one.

Before they tested it, did you realize it was slipping?

Nope, I had & felt no indication of an issue. After the replacement, the clutch engagement did "feel" more solid, but not much of a noticeable difference. But a free clutch is not a bad deal & I do feel better about it all down there.

Bronco is making me consider going that route, seems they have their manual figured out
Lol do they? It hasn't even hit the market yet.

Yeah, I see those on the road everywhere. They must be great!
If this is sarcasm, well played and I salute you. If your serious.... well.... (palms forehead)

The 7-speed Getrag manual in the Bronco does sound good, but You can only get it with the 4 cylinder 2.3 eco boost, not the 6 cylinder 2.7 eco boost. The bigger engine is quite a bit more powerful, and has a much better reliability record. And Ford will wonder why there arenā€™t that many manual sales. They will say ā€œSee - people donā€™t want manual transmissions.ā€ We all know manual sales are way down, but part of that is due to manufacturers not providing sticks in the more powerful trims. (Yeah, I know, a bigger factor is most people donā€™t want to drive a manual.)

You know what is funny about that is you can get a manual Hellcat Challenger. The only FCA engines mated to a manual now (at least that I'm aware of) are the 3.6 and the 6.2. There is nothing in between. You'd think a medium duty transmission would exist for the 5.7/6.4 but nope. You either get a NA V6 or the 700hp V8. The 2.7 with a manual would be the way to go. People who get a 2.7 Bronco are going to be very pleased its a good engine that can make some good power.
