Sport S not max tow running falken wildpeak MT Rubicon takeoffs, getting 17.2 mixed highway/city/back roads. I did legitimately get back 1+mpg when I added a tonneau cover.

Also just drove it from PA to FL and back. I was getting like 18.5-19 between 60-70. When I was going over 80, it was back down to like 16

Sport Max Tow. Only had it a couple of months and you can see my average below. That includes a couple of tanks while hauling my small 3,000 pound travel trailer and some off road use.

I just bolted on some Rubicon take-off Falken ATs so I imagine the average will drop a little. There is also a Mopar lift in it's future.

ETA: My usual cruising speed on the highway is 70 mph. When hauling my TT it is 60 mph.

Factory truck with Tazar & 37x12.5 Gen. Grab. ATx on Method 703s.
-Backroad mountain driving- 16.5mpg
-70-75mph- 17.5 ; When loaded with RTT and bikes: 13.5
-55-65mph- 19.5 ; When loaded with RTT and bikes: 16.5

I think a re-gearing would really improve the MPGs at higher speeds and when loaded; otherwise it just wants to stay in 5-6 most of the time.

So far my diesel is getting about 26.8 mpg hand calculated as A comparison. That’s stock everything but a hard tri fold tonneau with 1800 miles on it.

2021 Overland, manual trans, HT tires, pretty much bone stock. It's currently displaying 23.2mpg as of this morning. On my old Ram I knew that the truck's avg. mileage was taken over the last +/-350 miles, but I'm not sure what our JT's use. 70% interstate, 20% rural 2-lane, 10% city.

Regardless, 23.2mpg is almost 2mpg better than the last-tank average I calculated by hand.

Very interesting how far apart these numbers are. A stock Mojave being 40% less that a Mojave lifted 4” w 37s? Variance in 6-7 mpg for sports? I know there is a difference in driving habits but... what am I missing?

You probably got it.
Driving habits, environment, wind, hilly or flat terrain, speed, etc. all play into it.
I generally keep the Fuel Economy screen on my dash and try to keep it as high as I can. I know this thing is not an economy car but it does pretty good for what it is.

I expect to be ordering a Gladiator in the next month or two (selling my current truck while the market is hot), and trying to decide between gas and diesel. There's a thread in the diesel forum re: real world mpg, but not here in the gasser section. So, post up what you're getting along with any mods that might affect it, driving mix, driving style, or whatever else seems pertinent. Thanks!
I have the Stock 2021 JTR and it says it's getting 16.4 MPG with 33" stock tires and 17" Rims. I will give it a 3" lift and go to 37" tires 20" rims with 5.13 gears next month which will add some weight and reduce the MPG. I hear regearing increases power but reduces MPG as well. I'm not sure how valid it is but I stayed away from the ECO-Deiseal due to maintenance issues expressed in the forums.

Update after installing the 37" Trail Grappler Tires and 20" Wheels and reprogramming for bigger tires I'm getting about 13 MPG. I still need to regear from 4.10's to 5.13's. It wasn't good from the start but now it's really bad MPG especially for a 3.6 v6.

That's awesome I've never got that type of MPG it's usually between 15 - 16 MPG. I'm at 5280 feet which may make the difference.

I'm at 4,000 feet. Be interesting to see how it does at sea level.

Hell in Houston and surrounding if you take off fast after a red light goes green your chances of getting your front end taken off or broadsided increase big time.

Fuelly numbers are in my signature. Think I'm just over 20mpg, stock Sport S w/Max Tow. I've had my truck a year now and I'll hit 7k miles between now and May. Average journey is a mix of about 60/40 HWY/city. I've used it all year as my DD, I just don't drive a lot. HWY average is above 24mpg easy.

The Gladiator MPG is very dependent on what you get. Accelerating quickly, any kind of incline, temp, warm/cold fuel blend, and speed all play a huge role in your MPG, even wind. Since it is warming up my mileage is increasing. I notice in summer months it's easy for me to reach 22mpg during my normal driving where I struggle to get 19mpg in the winter (clear day). Going over 65 sees your mileage start to plummet too. You'll get best mileage with full roof on and windows up as well, naturally. Also, I normally drive just myself.
