I have been running my JKS for 3 months now. I love them. Some pro tips.
1. Yours may need to be a bit longer. The shorter they are, the harder they are to take off. It's that whole angles and triangle thing. Think Trig class. The longer they are the less distance they have to go to be removed as the angle they have to be pushed is less.
2. Carry some sort of pry bar.
3. ORDER MORE of the retainer clips today. They do break and I have had to trail repair them a few times. I now carry an extra set in my Jeep at all times.
4. Level ground is your friend when you re attach. I had to have the kids bounce on a rock slider a few times to get one side on when things were not on the level.
I ended up getting a rubber mallet to help. Definitely good idea about getting some extra pins. Yeah totally no about the level part, hehehe...what appears level to the eye, sure isn't when trying to reattach the swaybar. I was able to install one side, then moved forward to get the other done. It's all a learning experience
When I initially disconnected the first time, I had some wheel rubbing on uneven/flexy terrain; why i ended up installing the pucks. Hopefully, i put enough in. The metal cloak doc says 3 pucks for 35" inch tires & stock fenders. Going wheeling this weekend, will see how they do.
Thanks for the advice...
