How are those 5:38s working out? … I’m on the fence with 5:13’s or 5:38’s since i live in AZ

They drive fine, I like that I get to 8th gear pretty quickly and going up through the gears is smooth and effortless. With these fairly short 37s, I am running 2,500rpm at 72mph. If I didn't tow a fairly heavy camp trailer (4,800+ lbs) I'd go with the 5.13s for sure. If I was doing 38s or bigger I would do the 5.38s again in a heart beat.

Added phone mount solution today. Like most who have looked to do this job, my research led me to BulletPoint Mounting Solutions for the mount and arm and Carolina Metal Masters for the grab handle ball. I had considered Ram Mounts but I liked the BMS better. That pretty much made me choose to use a 20mm ball instead of the 1". I was willing to spend the money for the BMS but the CMM ball for $37.50 was too much. Instead, I searched Amazon for 20mm machine handles and found this:

The hole in these is 6mm. When I removed the two grab handle bolts I found that they were not machine thread but rather almost like a wood screw thread.

I decided to make this work with 1/4" threads because that's slightly bigger than 6mm. I tapped the ball machine handles out to 1/4"-20 and tapped the holes in the grab handle to 1/4"-28. I did this so I could use double-ended studs to attach the ball. I ended up using a 2" double-ended stud and cut off about 3/8". I then screwed the studs in and used a 1/4" x 5/8" length bushing to take up the gap to the ball.

Next, I installed the BMS driver side dash mount.

I now have 3 mounting points, one for the driver, one for the passenger, and one that could be used by either. The dash mount can also eventually be used for a GoPro or other dash cam.

Added a 12 volt plug in the bed. I used 10 guage wire left over from a boat project, and added a 15 amp fuse. The in-line fuse holder came with a 40 amp fuse, but the 12 volt outlet is rated for 20 amps.

the only difficult part was routing the wires to the front.

Put on what might be the cheapest tannaeu cover out there. I bought it on eBay for $148. Seems to be as good as I had hoped for. I’ve never had a tannaeu cover before, so I have nothing to compare it to.

I think this is the same one that came on my Gladi. The issue I have with it is the back puts up when I shut the tailgate. Any chance you'd share the install instructions? TIA
