So i finally got my ovs 270 nomadic awning today after 2 months..... do i return it? It has a scratch about 5 inches long in the aluminum.

I really want one of these but their website is terrible. I put two of these things in the cart by mistake a couple days ago and it would not let me update the cart no matter what I did or do. I just tried again. It just keeps crashing if I try. I tried to contact them as per their instructions on the site, and they finally sent me an email today asking what the problem was. Doesnt inspire a lot of confidence in the ordering process. . .

I ordered one this morning (their website said in stock), a few hours later I get an email that the order was cancelled, and my PayPal was refunded due to no stock.

Keep the box. Usps and ups usually want the box in order to process an insurance claim on a damaged item. They dont always, but it helps.

at a minimum id contact the company. Let them make the first offer…some companies won’t pay to have you ship an item back. They may just send you another one.

I'm pretty sure they would want it back, lol. Its $1699 now. Actually it's just the main awning that got damaged, if they replace that its 949 I think. I'll email them tomorrow and see if they give me a partial discount atleast. Shipping this couldnt have been that cheap.

Thanks! Those are Lamin-X sticker covers over stock fogs. I just always love the amber look so it's an easy first cheap mod.

I've actually got the Diode Dynamic SS3's in amber in the garage waiting to go in.... I got the wrong mounting brackets initially, but they have now sent me the correct ones. Just need to find the time to swap.... but yes, I'm always going to be an old school amber guy ha.

Front and rear diff skids installed. Rear was easy, front was impossible until Matt at Rancho sent me a longer U bolt.

Still have a lower control arm skid to put on, but it's going to take some altering. I probably know someone with a grinder, but not sure who would off of the top of my head. The amount of aftermarket stuff I've bought that didn't fit already is mind blowing.

When you purchase a new item, without a doubt it should be in new condition. That being said,and considering you waited 2 months to even get the item and might take that long or longer to get a replacement, you may want to ask yourself if that scratch is something you can live with. If so, try contacting whoever you made the purchase from and see if they'd be willing to refund a part of the price you paid, like a scratch & dent discount of sorts. If not, send it back and wait for another one.
