I ordered a Sport S with Max Tow on 7/22 so it looks like the order guide is wrong. I could see why Max Tow might not be possible on the Rubicon or Mojave trims due to the larger stock tires, off-roading suspension, and skid plates potentially affecting trans temps. It possibly could be made available on the Overland trim but the stiffer rear suspension would impact the ride and the more comfortable orientation of that trim. In my mind, Sport/Sport S is the unspecialized Ă -la-carte trim. One thing I noticed in the last two order guides is that Max Tow Package in now only offered on the base Sport and none of the other trims. This might be an attempt force customer to purchase the more expensive Rubicon and Mojave trims when some of the the standard feature in these trims are not really what the customer wants or needs.
Jeep is always claiming market leading tow capacity. Hopefully that’s reason enough to keep it around. So I'm wondering if the Max Tow Package will even be offered on any MY22

Yup, there are lots of special colors that become available throughout the year and do not show up on the online build tool despite being available for order. That's good to know. Max Tow is a very desirable package for any non Rubicon or Mojave trims. I have always trusted the order guide over the online configurator for the current available options and/or packages. The online configurator currently still shows Max Tow available for the Sport S.
Not at all, it's just that the margins are huge on the 6.4 whereas the 5.7 would need to be more competitive.I'm hopeful for the 5.7. Perhaps the 6.4 was a way to scoop up all of the high-dollar buyers over on the JLU side of the house and now they'll give the rest of us the 5.7. Am I correct to think...."if the 6.4 fits, why can'y the 5.7"? Or is that logic flawed?
If they added the 5.7L to the Gladiator I’d lose my mind.I'm hopeful for the 5.7. I was just about to post the same thing. I think they'd see a lot of current owners upgrading and they would bring in a TONNNN of new buyers. I plan to buy the 3.6 unless they do something crazy with the diesel cooling but I'd jump on a 5.7 in a heartbeat. This will be my first Jeep.If they added the 5.7L to the Gladiator I’d lose my mind.
Would Definitely make me reconsider ordering a diesel - a lot would depend on the upcharge. If they added the 5.7L to the Gladiator I’d lose my mind.
I’d just pay it, it would be a massive improvement.Would Definitely make me reconsider ordering a diesel - a lot would depend on the upcharge.
