fair.

ta mind posting me a pic or two? That way i dont have to sift back through this thread post by post

It may be a necessary design feature for the flaps on the jt. I was looking last night and they all pretty much look the same.

What really gets me is the giant rear flaps.

I dislike the road funk splatter along the sides when I drive after washing it. But also dislike the look of overly large mud flaps…gotta love first world problems.
I bought the Weathertech and couldn't be happier. The ABS isn't exactly flexible like rubber, but it does have some give. That said, if you hit a rock square on, they'll be goners for sure.

I think Gladiator mudflaps just have to look big with the way fenders stick out past the body, I went with RokBlokz regular long on front and regular standard on rear, you have to go with long ones on front to cover back as far as possible, they work very well, Weathertech look great and actually stick out a bit more up higher, but I wanted something that could bend and recover if hitting something…..Jack

With thanks to JTBurns for for the inspiration & his Amazon shopping list, did some budget tie downs. These are fine for now as I’m just looking to secure gas cans, coolers, etc. In the future I might add some L channel or unistrut if I need something more heavy duty.

I actually like this better than the trail rail system, at least for my needs. Nicely done.

After several iterations of phone mounts, I've finally settled on something that I'm very happy with. Got some good ideas from the phone solutions thread. This is very solid. It does not shake while driving, and it is not heavy enough to accidentally shift the transfer case. The large surface area allows it to grip the shift knob very securely just by barely tightening the wing nut. It does not leave any imprints (pinch marks) on the shift knob. It can be removed instantly.

My previous set up with the Ram flex ball mount lasted a while, but the adhesive (as well as E6000 glue) kept coming off - no matter how well I cleaned it and let it cure. The Offroam vent mount is well designed, but it is too high up for me, blocks view of the radio screen, and my hand kept bumping into the phone. I will get rid of the Offroam mount.

I really like how it holds up my wireless charger, and it has infinite adjustability.

The clamp is a 2 inch stage light truss clamp (aluminum), and comes in a pack of two.
https://amazon.com/gp/product/B07RZNQQMN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I modified it slightly by replacing the long M10 bolt with a shorter button head bolt, cut down the M8 T-bolt (for the wing nut), trimmed off the excessive clamp overhang, added a 1 inch socket ball, and put it through a shell casing tumbler to give it a matt finish.

Here is a pic with one out of the package, and the one I slightly modified.

More side steps installed.

Just for the front driver and passenger. I don’t haul kids or folks much and don’t see spending $300+ for the rear.

Simple install, I opted just to drop the rock sliders off all together was simpler.

Work well! Lady likes hers on her side and I’ll use mine!
